Deli Mart — Restaurant in San Diego

Hidden little gem of a sandwich shop and convenience mart right on Dowdy Drive. Pretty decent selection of sandwich types - cold and hot - with a variety of proteins, sauces, bread options, and toppings. It's run by a family too, and you can tell they take care to make sure that you are treated with care and served a quality sandwich.

The shop itself also has a pretty unique selection of chips, drinks, sides, candy, etc. I recently found "All Dressed Up" chips, which I thought were only available in Canada. I occasionally work nearby, and every time I do, I'm excited to stop by for a sandwich.

So have to say, my experience here was quite nice. I got a monstrous with some chips and soda and it was a little up there (mainly because I had to try the craft soda)

But overall, I'm impressed. The sando was great! I got a french roll and it was toasted to perfection. Their aioli was also in-house from what I was told.
