I have dined here on two occasions not of my choosing, but through invitation, and felt compelled to leave a review after my second visit. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place for filipino cuisine. Food is served buffet style which is fine for a party setting.
=Sweet n sour fish was somewhat more tasty compared to all other dishes which were bland. =Garlic fried rice - texture not thoroughly cooked and lacking in garlic flavor. =Pansit (noodle dish) looked very wet and soupy like. Yikes! I avoided that dish. =Panko chicken bu itself needed seasoning and became soggy with no crunch due to moisture when they covered it, but the accompanying sauce was unique and tasty. =Pork Sinigang (a sour soup) lacked tartness on both occasions. I kept asking the server for eggplant vegetables, but kept giving me green beans, which means server had no idea what an eggplant was.
Atmosphere low rating due to having to talk loud with other guests because any sound inside the bldg amplified causing guests not to be able to converse comfortably. There was another party next to us. Two parties shared the space and divided by partitions. So when that party got loud, our party had to be louder to hear each other speak.
The only nice thing I have to say was that servers did come often to retrieve empty dishes. Staff could put on some smiles. They didn't look happy to be working. Maybe they don't feel appreciated. Well, I did try to show my appreciation by acknowledging them and saying thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here with my family on a Wednesday shortly after they opened for dinner. We were seated right away. It was not busy; only one other table was seated. We were provided water quickly. We put in our appetizer order, getting Sisig Nachos and Lumpia. We then put our food order in, getting Pancit Palabok, Lechon Kawali, and Chickem Katsu. The appetizers and Pancit Palanok were delicious. The Chicken Katsu with the mac salad was good. The Lechon Kawali was overcooked, being hard and dry. All of the dishes are large enough to share between at least a group of 3. We also ordered a small side of rice since the Chicken Katsu came with rice as well. We did ask about draft beer, but they did not have everything on the menu. Service was above average, not really checking on us after we got our food, but increased as we got close to finishing our dinner and needing take-away containers. The atmosphere is quiet, given that it was not busy. Not much with decorations, making the place look a little more classy. I would consider coming back with it being close to the house to try the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Filipino-Asian fusion restaurant serves both classic Filipino comfort dishes and Hawaii inspired plates, along with a small sushi menu and a weekend brunch buffet.
I came for the Sunday buffet, which is $25 per person. The food was good, but could have been better. There was a decent selection of entrees to choose from, but I expected more. However, the buffet could have been better if they had tapa and longanisa. I feel that these are a required staple to have in every Filipino buffet.
The buffet hours are from 9am-3pm. They offer an open eating space with plenty of seating for both small and large groups.
I enjoyed the kare-kare. It was packed with great flavors. The rest of the options were just okay in my opinion. The lechon was either overcooked or reheated from the previous day. It didnāt seem fresh, and it was a bit hard to chew. I expected better if the chef has over 20 years of experience.
Overall, it was still a good experience. I would only return if they change the entrees every week. Iām not sure if they offer the same...
