This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at salon. I went in for balayage with subtle caramel highlights, and I showed pictures of what I wanted, and my hair came out completely over-processed bleached. There are areas of my hair that look gray, and that was not what I was going for at all. While Nikki did offer to tone it down for free, I did not want to return because the wash out was the most aggressive one I've ever had, so much so that I was wincing while she was doing it. I had water sprayed in my eyes and into my ears. Nikki said that her spray nozzle wasn't working properly and she was going to get it replaced, but that it tended to splash clients, she said this to me after she handed me a stained towel to wipe my face, and I was left wondering why I wasn't offered a clean towel to cover my eyes from the start, especially if she knew it might splash me. I have never had so much water sprayed into my ears like that. It was so uncomfortable, and for days afterwards I had water draining out of my ears and worried that it had damaged my ears. Not only that, but she was very carless about the dye around the hairline and I had to use a loofah to scrub the dye off my skin. When she was blowing out my hair with a round brush dryer it still had hair from another client in it. I just felt like Nikki was not professional or very considerate of her clients feelings. After my hair had been blow-dried, I said that it looked way blonder than what I was going for, and she offered to tone it then, but at that point it was such an unpleasant experience that I just wanted to get out of there. The cost at the end was also a shock, as it was much more than she quoted me through text, which was $95+, I wish she would have told me upfront how much extra it would be before she started. When I Come to Jade Salon I know Iâm going to get exactly what I wanted . and Iâm even going to be surprised at the outcome ! She not only take pictures of your hair but , make sure you donât leave without a smile . She also , has all the state of the Art equipment and keeps up on her training .She knows whatâs trending and what is not . She is a great listener, or can just let you sit and relax . I came in from San Ysidro around noon thinking I had an appointment at 12:30 pm that day like the automated messages I recieved from theid website constantly said and reminded me- like, OK. I ended up waiting an hour outside of the establishment with no response. I texted the facebook account this place uses to market itself, I called them on the phone, hoping I could get some response to a few questions I had but I did not recieve a single one. I waited outside for an hour and a half and no one got back to me. It wasn't until around 3 pm that I heard back from someone saying if I could text them back at some number they provided and that they were finally able to see me. After 2 hours of not saying anything. You need to have customer service top of mind when responding to comments, posts & messages- (keyword, respond) not let customers believe the Facebook's automatic booking system if you're just going to make them wait hours outside and schedule them at whatever time you want without informing them of the changes. I'd say get rid of the whole facebook "booking" system since it's lazy and unprofessional but I think it suits the management and operating of this place...
