If you're a lover of Greek food- you MUST try Greek Palace. With yesterday being my birthday and my fiancee currently suffering a recent injury stuck in bed rest- we decided to order in.
When I went to pick up my order, I was told that the Tiropita appetizer I recently fell in love with (and ordered again) they were out of. Being it was my birthday- I was low key devastated as I had been craving this heavily since first trying it.
Pretty sure that the man who helped me could see the sheer disappointment on my face, and went above and beyond to find something else to substitute the appetizer to ensure my birthday dinner was still a success.
After suggesting a few options- he offered me grilled feta (which I have never tried before- but I LOVE cheese esp Feta- so how could I go wrong?) . In going above and beyond- I really just want Greek Palace to know that I appreciated the suggestions, and to my surprise, the grilled feta was just as delicious as the Tiropita. WOW- was it YUMMY.
To top it off- being it was my birthday and for the inconvenience, the grilled feta was offered to me on the house.
All this to say that I really appreciated the extra extension of customer service- as that is REALLY hard to find these days. And their food is ALWAYS some of the freshest Greek and some of the most delicious Greek! Thanks for saving my birthday dinner and making sure I was...
Read moreThe menu here is consistently good for Greek food. They offer most of the iconic Greek dishes, such as gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, mousaka, pastisio, kabob, Greek salad, and lemon chicken soup.
They do not offer a separate kids menu. The closest you will get to typical kids menu fare is the chicken tenders in the appetizer section of the menu or perhaps the pita wrap sandwiches.
This location is a part of a comedy club, which has stand-up comedy in the evenings. The seating is based around the standup comic stage as a result. The booths at the back are large and were able to accomodate our group of 6 people easily. There are also smaller tables for couples.
There is also a bar and pool table in a separate room of the building.
Note that there are two entrances. During the day, the entrance near the pool table seems to be open. At night, the entrance for the Comedy Club is the one that is unlocked. I found this a bit confusing because it was not completely clear which one...
Read moreIt has been a few years since I have had Greek food as good as I was served here. My wife and I are in San Diego for 11 days. We found this restaurant just .04 miles from the Hampton Inn we were staying at. The owner George sat us, actually half an hour before they actually began their dinner service. He started us off with an appetizer of Tiropita. It was warm and tasty. I had lentil soup and my wife had the Greek salad. The soup was delicious and we both enjoyed the dressing for the salad. I ordered the combination plate, Gyro and Chicken Souvlaki with rice and pita. My wife had the Mousaka with rice and pita. The owner offered a Greek or a Lebanese beer. Almasa is the Lebanese beer, it is a pilsner and was smooth. I followed up with with the Greek beer Mythos. Just a tad bit sharper flavor but just as good. For desert we had Kashtali - Custard filled Philo dough drizzled with simple syrup. Best meal out we have...
