Happy Lemon Convoy — Restaurant in San Diego

I'm a regular costumer at happy lemon I even have the app, once I came to this location I get so disappointed due the lack of costumer service this lady has!! She was super impatient even I already knew what I was gonna order, but my husband was trying to get a new drink and she was super rude and desespérate he asked her if they have yogurth drinks and she pretend she didn't understand his English when she greatly is NOT native, so I don't think her English is the best neither and if it was any English speaker can understand the word "there is any yogurth" not like anything from the other world more that because they are used to to this kind of questions! As well that another white costumers came after us and she was super nice to them, maybe she think she's white? But at the end she's not, she's immigrant! Plus everything I added she was "so what else🙄" when you need to always wait until the costumer finish their order so then you can answer that ! plus the waffles they give u to us 20 min later and they didn't call for them we have to get close to the register to get them , really would avoid coming to this location!

UPDATE!!!! I went back again recently and guess what, still they are fking rude!!! I was waiting in line and the lady came and she's like "What you want?" Excuseeee me? I want to order, not even "hi what can I get...

On a Sunday afternoon they are pretty busy but I didn’t mind waiting for a milk tea with taro balls and an Oreo puffle. The person at the register said 15 minutes for the puffle so we were like “that’s fine” and we got #91. We also added a tip to our credit card bill. So after eating 20+ minutes I saw the 3 people who were behind me in line receive their orders of puffles and drinks. Umm...something didn’t seem right. So we went to pick up counter and they were totally clueless!! We had our Happy Lemon number and told them what we ordered and all the workers in the back had no idea. A few seconds later someone figured out that no one printed out the label for the drink or the order for the puffle. We waited a minute for them to make our order. If we didn’t walk up and talk to the workers at the pick up counter we would have very likely waited for an hour! They didn’t do or say anything to make us feel better after screwing up. Very poor customer service!! I don’t typically write reviews but my voice has to be heard after such poor customer service. And to pre-tip before receiving horrible customer service!! Makes me rethink about doing tips before receiving my order. The owner may need to rethink their restaurant name...change it from Happy Lemon to Sour Lemon...which is how...

Happy Lemon will always be one of my favorite milk tea places to go to! If you are a milk tea enthusiast, like me, you will like their selection when it comes to different flavors and mixes. If you are not fond of milk teas, then you can definitely go for their refreshers and their juices, and maybe add such toppings like tapioca (boba), coconut jelly (nata), and others!

One of my go-to orders would be the "Milk Tea with Salted Cheese". It just gives the right flavors that would make you happy! The milk tea is sweet, which I always ask for the sweetness level to be 75%, and the salted cheese on the foam, on top of the drink, just elevates the overall flavor. The mixture of salted cheese (salty of course), and the milk tea (sweetness), is just right and would make you want to order another one. Also, if you're not familiar with Happy Lemon, there is a suggested way to drink their milk tea with salted cheese drink. You would need to tip the drink at a certain, or close, angle to both taste the sweetness and the saltiness of the drink.
