I'll start with the pros: the man who took my order was courteous and respectful and generally had good customer service. The red salsa was really good. Sadly, those are the only pros.

Cons: I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, cheese, and fries. The size of the burrito was big but normal for the area. As soon as I took a bite, I noticed the burrito was pretty dry and I could only taste salty bacon and cheese and fries. Where's the egg? I was eating on the go and the burrito started to fall apart which was extremely inconvenient. I did end up finding tiny pieces of egg but not enough for a breakfast burrito. The bacon was really weird: it was super thick and salty and DRY. Then I take a bite and I get this HUGE pieces of bacon chunks just falling out. It was pretty gross I left a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. That's when I stopped eating. For a simple breakfast burrito you'd think it would be good but nope I was left very disappointed.

On top of that, the drive thru is a complete nightmare! If you decide to go you'll see what I mean. And good luck if you drive a manual transmission because that would be hell. Good luck getting out of the lot because that was super difficult. And to top it off, they take FOREVER.

I do not recommend this place and will never...

I seen their advertisement on Instagram and seen that they've been around in the community for a while and wanted to support community businesses. I went there and initially tried to utilize the drive-thru and was as close to the speaker as I could get without messing up my car and she still couldn't hear me, so I parked and walked up to the front window. I ordered a simple chile relleno and cheese enchilada. Once I received my order which was pretty fast, I give them that, I realized that the cheese was not melted, there were big chunks of cheese as well in my order, and my chile relleno was already super soggy. I enjoyed that there was a place to sit outside that also had shade. Despite my food being lukewarm, soggy and my cheese not melted, it was okay. I unfortunately will not be...

This has been my favorite Taco Shop since forever you can not have lived in San Diego without knowing about this spot... Some of my favorite tweaks are: *Carne Asada fries with extra carne asada, *Carne Asada burrito w/ American guacamole (and ask for it to made juicy please) trust me it’s absolutely delicious!!! *if I’m ever in the mood for a California burrito I just order Carne fries with extra carne asada a side of America guacamole and 2 flour tortillas😉 you will thank me later!!! Enjoy your food and please tip well these beautiful ppl have consistently made us good food and they don’t jack up the prices on us... they are truly one of a kind and I know us San Diegans greatly...

The new change in ownership is terrible. My order was wrong and when I brought it back to the cashier she put her fingers in my burrito and then told me there was nothing wrong with it. I asked her to make me a new one with the toppings I asked for and she told me no because there was nothing wrong with it. I told her that you just fingered my burrito and tried to give it back to me.. She got upset and threw the money at me and told me no. I will never go back there again. I have been going there for over 20 years but never again

Strolled by here because of the reviews of it being one of the best drive thru’s to get your Mexican food fix. (Got the rolled tacos and the California burrito). Service was very friendly as well. It’s amazing how they keep their prices affordable even with inflation. The food was very delicious.
