This review is based solely on the experience, food taste and customer service. Bare with me for a thorough review which will most likely convince some. First off, when entering Los Panchos we were kindly greeted by the cashier worker named Teresa who had a warm smile and radiant energy. When looking at the menu we were a bit taken back with all the options they had yet happy that they had plenty of variety. We asked Teresa a few questions about some of their menu items and she was very helpful and informative in answering. My husband ordered himself a Caldo de 7 mares ( 7 seafood soup) and a 3 "mini" tacos plate which came with TJ style tacos of asada, adobada and cabeza. I had their 5 crunchy rolled taquitos and chose the fish taquitos and also for 2 "mini" tacos or asada and adobada. My daughter got the Carne Asada fries, my youngest got the kids bean and cheese burrito plate with a side of french fries. And we ordered our baby the kids chicken taco with rice and beans. A lot of food. Yes but oh so worth it!!!!! Teresa gave us little cups of bean soup with tortilla chips as a starter😊 Now starting with my husbands order, the 3 "mini" tacos are about the size of a big palm, double tortilla, loaded to the brim with delicious, well seasoned meat, and guacamole! You can literally make 2 tacos out of 1, and his plate came with 3. Pictures are inserted for reference and deliciousness. But the star here is truly the Caldo de 7 mares!!! It left us in awe at how delicious, fresh and authentic it tasted. The soup had a variety of different seafood like jaiba, fish, shrimp, clams, octupus, crab leg and I know there was more. My husband literally said it tasted as good as his parents home state of Chapala, Jalisco Mexico and that's big coming from him🔥💖 I wished I had ordered myself a bowl of that! It literally left our taste buds in heaven. Now my order was good, the taquitos of fish had a nice crunch along with a white mayo sauce and loaded with cabbage and pico slaw. Very tasty for seafood lovers. And portions are huge😊🔥 Same for my "mini" tacos, very delicious and well seasoned meat. Now my daughters order of the asada fries were a show stopper, the french fries OMG where nice, hot and crispy!!! You don't find places who have fries like that anymore, but these fries were topped with a cheese sauce, guacamole, onions, tomatoes, sour cream and meat! They were astounding. Getting a bite of everything incorporated was like a bang or so many delightful flavors all at once!!! My youngest is a super picky eater and she loved her little bean a cheese burrito but she couldn't stop raving about the fries!😁 My baby's chicken taco was super moist, well seasoned and big as well. Which is a plus because it serves as lunch and dinner😁 Rice and beans were good as well, I could tell since my baby kept asking for more. All in all this place is amazing! The food, service and atmosphere are incredible! I hope the owner takes great pride in knowing his cooks have golden hands that make wonderful authentic mexican food, and his front staff Teresa and another young gal are very welcoming and kind. I'd give them a raise if they were my workers cause you don't find staff like this anymore. Eating here honestly felt like home away from home. I recommend anyone to try this place out. There is something for everyone! You will not regret it! Thank you Los...
Read moreVery, VERY happy to have discovered Los Panchos! It is an unassuming location in a strip mall in a quiet area of San Diego, but it is definitely worth coming to this place for some delicious Tex-Mex food!
We were visiting San Diego for the weekend and had some cravings for good burritos, nachos and tacos. We came across this location and decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad that we did!
The interior is clean, bright and welcoming. There's comfortable booths inside, as well as a nice covered patio area.
We ordered ourselves one of the carne asada burritos, as well as carne asada nachos and some chicken enchiladas. They also provided us with some complimentary tortilla chips and a bean sauce to accompany it with. I loved the sauce!! There's also a nice fountain drink machine with plenty of options.
As for the food that we ordered, it all tasted incredible! The carne asada burrito was amazing and perfectly seasoned and good portioning for everything inside it. I also loved my enchiladas, which were very cheesy, creamy and delicious! The nachos were HUGE! Loved the guacamole, sour cream and carne asada on them! We had to get them to-go because it was so big, and it made a great snack later on in the evening! We got the whole size of it, but they have half-sized portions if you don't want as much.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ate here. I love finding a good, authentic, and low-key but clean type of Tex-Mex establishment. Everyone that works here was extremely friendly and helpful. They also bring the food out to your table. Great service!
This place will definitely be placed on my list of favorite San Diego spots to frequent whenever I'm in the area! I love it and I strongly recommend...
Read moreI’m not sure what’s been going on but, this place’s food quality has really fallen below a C grade standard. In the morning they are ok at serving what you order, in the evening though I highly recommend looking into another spot! Everything I have ordered in the evening for the last month has been missing key ingredients and items (the dish wasn’t finished being made when served!) I have never experienced that before. When I brought the issue up to staff they let me know I can order it again…(So they’re not short of ingredients to complete dishes got it!)… I had to show the staff the incomplete order and quickly to their defense they rushed to say the items I ordered didn’t come with what I said was missing. When i paused to let them know it does look at your menu and look at my order, they apologized and asked if I’d like another, I said no thank you! They lmk they would leave a note for the owner. It’s nice to see them standing together but it felt horrible to be challenged and disappointed with what I paid for and didn’t eat. At that being my experience and similar ones a few to many times in a row, I will not be coming back here though, I’ve heard most los panchos locations aren’t great to begin with, though this one used to be sooo good! And reliable! If you do choose to risk your patience at this location, the best thing I’ve had would be the three mini adobada tacos with cotixan cheese steamed atop! Simple enough to not be finished...
