Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in San Diego

Generally enjoy Round Table pizza. Mostly Point Loma and Sports Arena. They have been great. We receive coupons via app and email. We happen to be at Round Table on friars road today. We had a coupon for 50% off a 3 topping pizza XL or Specialty pizza expires 10/10/24. Active code as well. The staff and manager refused the coupon. They did not offer any alternative. A little attitude so not appealing to stick around. They did offer a 50% discount on the second pizza if we ordered 2. How disappointing just trying to buy one pizza at a discount as the coupon intended and clearly stated. I realize this may seem petty but it is about $18 savings. So we ventured over to the Sports Arena location to use the coupon and no issue. A 3.5 mile drive. Thank You Sports Arena Round Table and we do not recommend Friars road Round Table pizza. Response: The managers response below could not be more wrong. The coupon had nothing to do with the Sports Arena location and it's promo code. You are completely wrong and 2 pizzas has nothing to do with the coupon in question as you offered. Your team offered 6.99 wings as a promotion or buy 2 pizzas. You don't want our business it's completely up to you. We have our receipt from our purchase with the discount and a screenshot of the coupon. It's a pizza. I made an online order here a couple days ago. I ordered two of the 12 classic wings, one buffalo and one bbq. When I picked up my order, I payed, left a tip and went home. I realized as soon as I came home that I didn't receive the correct order. I was given 2 orders of bbq and none of buffalo. I immediately called back and explained my situation. The employee over the phone said he could either make me the order of buffalo for free to pick up or receive a full refund. I told him I wanted the wings. I drove back over. When I arrived, I told the cashier that I was there to pick up my buffalo wings. He seemed confused at first but then realized what I was talking about. He said my wings were ready and that he was going to give me a 20% discount. Me being confused told him I was told over the phone that they would be free by another employee. He then told me that he was actually the manager and would only give me a 20% discount despite what the other employee said over the phone. I was completely shocked. I highly recommend never coming here unless you like being lied to and scammed. On a side note, a 20% discount would still have been more expensive than ordering online because of the promotion so that was like a slap...

Stop! Do not go here. We called in an hour before closing to order ahead and they said we would have to do delivery or carry out, so we decided to wait to order until arriving. They were out of extra large sizes, pan pizza, and stuffed crust. I’ve never heard of a pizza place being out of a certain size before. No good place at least. How are you not able to use your dough to make an extra large pizza? Their prices were not listed anywhere. It turns out a large pizza is $25?! So good thing they were out of extra large because I’m sure that would have at least been $30. We ordered with 45 minutes to closing and the pizza came out in a to go box and they didn’t give us plates. When we asked for plates we got extremely thin paper ones (while other people in the restaurant were eating off of actual sturdy dishes). Our pizza wasn’t even cut all the way through.
