Not good at all! Won't be eating at this place again. Their carne asada burrito is just meat and pico de gallo. What kind of Mexican fast food serves a burrito with only meat and pico de gallo $7.99? After I complained and asked why there is no beans and rice. I was told that that's a different burrito... Seriously! Then I ordered chicken taquitos 3pc with cheese (suppose to come with cheese and guacamole) so I asked to hold the guac and switch it with sour cream instead, well that's a $.90 upcharge. My wife had a shrimp burrito and also was a dud! Shrimp literally looked like boiled shrimp without any seasoning, this burrito only had shrimp, rice and pico de Gallo $10. No chips, pickled jalapeños with carrots will cost you an additional $1.35. Lots of nickel and diming here for food...

I cannot express enough how much I love and appreciate this place. I called in a phone order yesterday and picked it up only to discover it was the wrong burrito. It still tasted good but wasn't what I ordered. When I called to complain, the gentleman sincerely apologized in the most professional way and told me to come by whenever to get a new one. I came the next day but he wasn't working. When I told the lady what happened and that I felt bad because it sounds like a lie to get free food, she didn't even question me and said my food will be ready in about 5 mins. Thank you, thank you, THANK you Nico's for being so great to your loyal customers!! I eat here all the time and will continue to...

Love Nico’s food, their breakfast burritos are absolutely amazing! I work couple blocks away and we order for take out pretty often, and the food is always hot, well packed and tasty.

Today I stopped after work and ordered myself, it was bit of wait since I didn’t order ahead of time but was so worth it. By the time I got all the way to El Cajon, burrito was still hot! Also ordered rolled tacos, which were tasty too.

The place itself was super clean and the service was nice and the guy taking the order (sorry don’t remember the name) was very polite and professional. There was a parking lot (for customers only) which made it more convenient and easy.

Definitely highly...

I've lived in San Diego for 25 years, and eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. I was in the area looking for a great hole-in-the-wall Mexican place, and noticed this spot had good reviews. I was hoping to discover a new favorite. Instead what I got was the worst fish burrito I've ever had. First few bites were mostly cabbage and tomato, and almost no fish. Turns out that was a good thing, because once I got to the actual fish, it was obvious a low quality frozen fish stick. It was gross and inedible. I left it on the table and walked out. I don't know how this place has such great reviews, but I'm never going back here.
