Panera Bread — Restaurant in San Diego

After a nice movie one would think of having a nice meal. So I thought this would be my case. Sadly this was not. I had decided on ordering the asiago steak sandwich. Being rather peckish. I was looking forward to eating what sounded like a rather appealing meal. However when my food arrived at our table I noticed that the meat was more our less purely raw. I took one bite just to silence my doubts. All I could taste was raw, cold, uncooked meat. I took the liberty of asking wether this was suppose to be cooked like this. My reply was that they cook it more on the rare side. This meat was not cooked. It could freeze your taste buds. So none the less I asked for a better cooked meal. When my sandwich came out a second time the steak was fully cooked. However I did notice that they used the same contaminated bread, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. This was the turning point of my patience. I was and still am very disappointed at this. Using contaminated ingredients is very unacceptable. Now this might have been one bad experience. And I sure hope it was only one bad experience. As I surely do hope that Panera isn't letting their...

Stopped in for dinner while waiting to see a movie and was appalled by their selection. Ordered via the self service kiosk only to find that they had no bread available for their sandwiches. Out of their usual selection, they had croissants, baguettes, or rye bread and that was it. Decided to order some Mac n cheese in a bread bowl to go since I noticed they at least had two of those sitting in their bakery. Paid, got my drink, and headed over to the pick up window. Once my order was called, I checked the bag only to find they had given me a cups portion of Mac and no bread bowl. Instead, they had loaded the bag up with 5 pieces of baguette. Apparently they had plenty of baguette since my friend then asked for an entire one and they gave it to her. Will definitely avoid eating here in the future. No use going somewhere to eat that can't provide...

CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP - NOT WORTH IT!

Product and service aren’t worth $100+ membership for! Their greens (arugula) are never fresh - always mixed with wilted or yellow leaves. Ordered a salad, sandwich, and the new croissant sandwich on three different occasions and ALL GREENS were either rotting or yellow. One associate replaced the salad and sandwich with wilted greens in it but the other associate (or manager - male, average height with braces) reasoned “it’s just how arugula is” when I showed him the sandwich with wilted and yellow leaves in it. And then said “I mean, I could take it if you don’t want it.” He made it sound like I tried to get a replacement whereas I brought it to his attention untouched.
