Pizza Hut — Restaurant in San Diego

Freak experience. Hard to explain 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔 My friend tried to order a pizza and I was picking it up. He said it sounded like the guy taking his order was playing a trick on him or wasn't going to complete his order. Just weird. So I called while I was on my way, someone answered and I told them we had an order and I was just double-checking she said hold on and then it hung up on me after a 10 minute wait. And someone's finally picked up after another 10 minutes. This was not a busy time this was it's about a half hour before it closed on a Tuesday. After a long while I finally found out that the order was placed and I could pick it up. When I got there. I opened the door and the place was empty there was no one in the reception area which was about as big as a small bathroom. I waited for about 5 minutes and then called the back area. After another 5 minutes somebody finally came. They were a friendly enough person that really strange.. I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on with all of this weirdness in just ordering a pizza both on the phone and when I got there just strange. When I left I just kept thinking and we were talking with my friend on the phone as I brought the pizza to them.. trying to figure it out.. later I just concluded that possibly they were smoking weed the whole time and we're really goofy. I ordered a large pan pizza with a regular amount of pepperoni, and piszza sauce. I asked for extra cheese and for the pizza to be, "slightly well-done, please". I left to go get the pizza after I received the notification that my order was ready for pick-up. I got to the store, there was trash and someone's hat laying on the ground right next to where I parked. I walk into pizzahut. The door makes a noise to alert employees that someone has entered the store. Nobody comes to the register. I waited 2 maybe 3 minutes. No one came out. There's a little bell on the counter so I ding the bell. Someone comes out a minute later. She was polite. I told her I'm picking up and order and gave her my name. She said oh it's still in the oven. I said, oh, the alert said my order was ready for pickup. So she went to check. She said my order wasn't ready. It's still in the oven, because I requested slightly well-done. That was fine. I paid for the order and then sat down and waited a few minutes. After a while she came back out with my order and I headed home. I opened the box to find a freah out of the oven piping hot BURNT pizza! there was little to no pizza sauce, and a less than regular amount of cheese and burnt pepperoni. It was terrible. I have never failed to tip, ever. Never even less than 20%. Ten minutes after my order, my phone rang from Pizza Hut. The employee told me that she needed to know if I was going to tip. I was in the service industry for 14 years and therefore I tip even on bad service. I was confused and said I was tipping cash. She then told me they would be dispatching my order in 25 minutes. I truly, truly will never order from this location again. Beyond rude and disrespectful in addition to holding my order hostage until they knew I would tip the driver. So unprofessional, so much competition there is no need to deal with bs.I will also attach a picture of my pizza yesterday that was delivered in a gross mess smushed in a ball on the side of the box. I also had to stay on the phone with the driver for several minutes as he could not find my apartment. I took a picture to show a friend, now it's handy for another reason. Go anywhere else for quality and...
