Rosa's Ice Cream and Fruit Bar — Restaurant in San Diego

Went for a treat with the wife and we were definitely not impressed. The attitude of the guy at the front desk probably is what made our experience bad.

The wife asked for a flavor of ice cream, and the moment she asked for a little change, the tender was clearly not happy about it ironically the change was an up-charge and yet the guy was even a bit snarky asking multiple times if more changes were needed, even to the point to say if she was “really” sure of what she wanted. Definitely not very polite.

Then when I asked for something that was clearly in one of the menus the guy kept saying it was more expensive and he would either make something from the other menu. I didn’t get this guys attitude at all.

When I pointed to the menu item I was referring he said this is not the same thing. I was very confused to the point I found it worthless to argue all I wanted was to leave. If he hadn’t served my wife’s ice cream I would have left on the spot.

The flavor of the ice cream we had was decent, we’ve had better, but the overall experience was awful.

May be we lucked on the grumpy guy, who knows we aren’t coming back here anyways. On to try other ice creams around town I guess. And I would not recommend this place to anyone just based on...

On Friday night I was craving an ice cream sundae so I decided to try out the new local ice cream shop my friend has been telling me about!

Rosa’s Ice Cream and Fruit Bar is the perfect marriage between my two favorite things in the world: ice cream and fruit! Need I say more?! Rosa’s Ice Cream and Fruit Bar is essentially, Cold Stone meets your local Disfrutalas 😋

I decided to try out one of Rosa’s favorite creations: The Good One 🍓🍦🥰. It had vanilla ice cream with walnuts, brownies, strawberries, and fudge! I went with a Medium size and added a waffle bowl for $1 extra. The $5.75 medium ice cream + $1.00 for waffle bowl = $6.75!!!

The ice cream was everything I was craving. The employees were fun and friendly. The size of the shop is small but larger than a hole in the wall. It is comfortable; great menu selection [more than just ice cream], good lighting, tables to sit at and enjoy your sweet treats, and an overall good atmosphere. The signs are legible, good use of pictures, and easy to read.

Next time I plan on trying out Rosa’s Apple Pie ice...

This is a new shop; as soon as you walk in your impressed with how bright, clean, and inspiring the place is! And great positive energy from the staff! The ice cream is really good, and they have lots of special ways to prepare it, all yummy! Not only that, but they also have smoothies, juices, raspados, and tortas! I had the roast beef torta- the bread was super fresh, and the sandwich looked like a food advertisement. It was so delicious! I also had one of the Rosa’s Classic ice cream treats - top quality ice cream with yummy fresh strawberries, nuts, and brownies! I’ll be stopping by here often for...
