Same here for lunch for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed it. Glad this happened because I don't think we would have found this place otherwise. Chinese salad with chicken was the highlight of the show! Ask for dressing on the side and can't even need as much n So country and so fresh and so refreshing! We ordered a large size + ½ chicken breast to split among 2 and that was so huge the only finished half. Very large portion size! Thai chicken pizza was lovely as well. Lovely crunch of the peanuts with good amount of julienned zucchini as well. Definitely recommend getting it on the regular crust because the artisan train crust very thin and there was a lot of popping on the pizza. Dip sampler was good. Hummus was my favorite. Garlic pita bread It came with was really creative and nice on its own! Fries were really crispy. Parmesan on top was beautiful. Duck tacos were surprisingly good! Cute little tacos with a crispy tortilla and some really good sauce. It came on a bed of lettuce which had a lot of that sauce now there as well and I could have just eaten the plain lettuce with the sauce. Crispy brussels sprouts appetizer would have been amazing if it had less oil. I could actually see quite the amount of oil on there so I only had a small piece. Good amount of char and the walnut in Parmesan on there was good but the killer was the balsamic on top! Really good flavor. Apple buy pizza for dessert was unexpectedly amazing! Just the right amount of sweet and good ratio of apples to the crust. Came with a scoop of ice cream on top too. Others on the table order the goat cheese, pizza, orzo, pasta and just a bunch of other pizzas. Everybody enjoyed the food.

We have gone here a few times over the years. They have updated the decor but in the end it is really just the same place/service with higher prices. Oh - you may wonder why the pics are a weird color - that was the lighting at our table. We went on a Monday night and there were maybe 5-6 tables when we arrived. It took about 5 mins to have someone come over to try and clean the sticky table - they tried using a hot rag because "the top layer of the table is coming off"...it was still sticky after the wipe down. We finally ordered our food - all of which was good - but it took about 25 mins for the food to come out. And when it did come out the brought the tuna sandwich and kid's pizza and then left. My wife and I figured they would come right back with our meals. Nope. It was another 2-3 mins and they brought out my wife's salad (which she asked for about 50% dressing but it was well over dressed). So I sat there while they ate - probably another 5-6 mins before my shrimp tacos came out. Yeah, shrimp...takes about 5 mins on the griddle to cook -- but that plate was the last one out. My daughter was half way done with her pizza and I hadn't started yet. Again, the food was all good - but $18.50 for shrimp tacos, $16.25 for an over dressed salad, and $9.50 for a kid's meal pizza? I know "times have changed" but man - it shouldn't cost $100 (also had a $15.25 tuna sandwich, a glass of wine and 3 fountain drinks) for a family of 4 to eat out. And we were there for over an hour! Next time I'll just head over to Rubio's for their Shrimp Two Taco Plate for $11.49 -- better price, tastes just as good and I can be in and out under 20 mins.

Modern pizzeria with a nice selection of brightly flavored dishes that use fresh and local ingredients. Nice wine selection. Happy hour specials at 50% off selected dishes. Pleasant outdoor and indoor seating area and clean facilities. Tuscan, Royal Hawaiian, and Spicy Italian Sausage pizzas were tasty. Enjoyed their freshly made pizza crust, which had a soft bite and a nice texture from the semolina flour. The kids liked the Royal Hawaiian because of the fresh pineapple slices. The duck tacos were creamy from the combination of lebni, feta, and ranch. This was offset by fresh tomatoes, sliced Napa cabbage, and cilantro. This particular day, the cook was a little light on the duck, which changed the balance of flavors. The shrimp taco was full of fresh shrimp and fresh vegetables, and cheeses. It was tasty with its flour tortilla. The meal ended with a humongous messy chocolate sundae and an ube cheesecake. Well done - it was a special treat for the kids. Special call out to Candice! She had a fantastic presence - she was personable, outgoing, and attentive to her tables throughout the restaurant.

If 2.5 stars was available, that would be my selection. I really wanted Sammy's to be the same quality experience we had regularly experienced, pre-pandemic times. On the positive side, our waiter (Keenan) was refreshing and very down to earth. Definitely not a polished waiter with years of experience but in return he seemed genuinely sincere in his mannerism and effort to meet our needs as guests. One of the meals of our party came out ten minutes after the others, and whether his fault or the kitchen's, he personally apologized and took blame as if it was his failure - although I question if it was really his fault versus that of the kitchen's. Now for the not so satisfying; We sat outside in the covered patio area, and the copious amounts of big, aggressive flies, and I mean a lot of them (3-5 flies per person), was intolerable. It literally ruined the entire dinner experience, and no stellar food quality could make up for the nuisance and feeling of disgust. Sammy's needs to acknowledge this problem and set some fans. It would at least take the edge off of this obvious problem. All the customers we're waiving their napkins like horses swatting their tails at the stables. Second, the food quality was severely lacking and possibly worse. The lettuce for the salad was clear-as-day, not fresh and borderline slimy. The chicken wings, while cooked to proper temperature, tasted as if the meat was approaching rotten. The same could be said for the chicken in the pita plate. It's been about three hours since eating there and I'm still knocking on wood that my stomach doesn't start a revolt. In summary, I really liked the genuine demeanor of our waiter, and of course I liked my company (my family), however Sammy's product (the food and ambiance) does not earn a passing grade...

My friend Michelle and I have dined here a few times a year over the past several years. We typically look past the adapted decor and sour manager (big tattooed blond always manning the door) because the location is easy for us food is good and service typically good. This visit we had a nice enough server, but it seems she was taking care of all the tables in the restaurant. I didn’t want to complain, but when she asked how my salad was I told her I didn’t care for it. The chicken on it was over done and jerky like. I asked her to put in a pizza for me because I was still hungry. I did not ask for her to remove the item from my bill. The pizza took an extraordinary amount of time. When she finally delivered it she let us know it took so long because the cooks burned the first one. No problem. It was delicious. We ordered dessert. An ice cream sundae when we were finished with our meals. After almost an hour, seeing it was never going to be produced, I approach the counter to pay for the bill. The surly manager was there and overheard me tell the waitress we just could not wait any longer for the desert. She profusely apologized… To which I told her it was not a problem, I paid the bill and tipped her. The manager, who obviously knew there was an issue, chose to ignore the opportunity to make our experience better. No apology, no eye contact, and no acknowledgment of the complaint. It doesn’t take much, but lady you are in the wrong industry. Thank you to our kind server. You did the best you could and thank you very much for removing the awful salad from my bill. I am so sorry you work for a manager who is so unsupportive an inept at...
