Sandwich Stop Deli — Restaurant in San Diego

I would like to say that as a first responder to the w.t.c. 911/2001 attacks ,I've since moved to sandiego california where unfortunately I stay in my vehicle not by choice as my economy is in the shifter, between the people who have developed this hate tred toward s the homeless in this city who forever are calling up on homeless people who are not making any problems messes or issues. This sandwich shop makes the best hot pastrami I've had in a while and they never treat me bad like some store owners do. I'm from New York and I am a somebody and it's important that we all don't lose track of that as they continually abuse me saying things you should not say to people and making problems for those who I think for myself I have enough problems. And don't need anymore. Thank God for the decent and professional people at this sandwich shop which I would not hesitate to recommend to both family or friends it's clean, food is consistently on point they treat people good. And do yourself a favor don't cheat yourself ,treat yourself. And tell them Johnny mustang sent you and you will be glad you did. So I rate in every category this is a 5 star food establishment and I've had alot of different foods all over the United States in alot of different cultures as well. You will not be disappointed, and I hope to see you there , till then take care sincerely...

I have had three sandwiches there ...and all have been great!!!! good amount of meat for the price. perfect flavor balance, etc etc. sandwiches have a lot of shredded lettuce....or more than I typically see on sandwiches.

basically, it hits what I want in a deli sandwich. while it's more than I typically eat (I get small sandwiches at the chains), I don't feel "full" even though I have eaten more. the bread is light/fluffy, and a good share of veggies....which might be part of it. again, just a perfect/great deli sandwich.

As for price, compared to chain stores ..about the same for the sandwiches and I think you get more. no fountain drinks, so no refills. but they do have a significant drink and chip selection. The chips and drinks can add up.

somewhat small location, and as I understand it, slammed for breakfast. only been for lunch, and my lunch is at 11m, so no idea what it's like at lunch hour. they do typically pick up around the time I'm leaving.

of you want a good deli sandwich, you have to stop in...

Going into the place it looked cool! The breakfast burrito was AMAZING 😍 The guys working were cool and very polite. The menu has a great selection! I was very happy knowing I had choices! The way he made my burrito was with care and it showed. The burrito wasn’t just sloppy with ingredients inside. It was nicely laid out. I’m the kind of person that enjoys my food evenly distributed and he did that without me even having to ask! I usually don’t eat all the tortilla because of how it’s packed too much in one area or another. But I was able to eat all of it! Even though it wasn’t a huge burrito the craftsmanship was just too good to pass up! Thanks man! I’ll get your name for next time! Oh, and it’s reasonably priced as far as I can tell. Will have to come back and see how great their more...
