Societe Brewing Company has always had excellent beer and we finally tried the Taco truck on site today and it is most defy delicious food!

I was trying my hardest to remember to take pictures of the food but when it showed up I devoured it and then remembered that I failed to take pictures.....

I ordered three different tacos: surf and turf, carnitas and the carne asada and they were all absolutely delicious. They were definitely street tacos, but packed full of goodness, but I would recommend ordering three if you are hungry. Prices for the tacos are not bad and you end up paying about 10 dollars for three of them (if I remember right). My fiancee ordered a burrito and she was not disappointed. It was absolutely delicious as well.

Now to the beer: I haven't tried a beer that I have not liked from Society Brewing company. Their seasonal or occasional beers are always delicious and have never disappointed. As far as the normal selection goes, the Pupil is one of my all-time favorite IPAs and is absolutely a delicious beer weighing in at a 7.5 ABV (if I remember right).

The employees that work at both the taco truck and the brewery are always fantastic and nice. There is tons of outdoor seating, which is a plus in my book as I am still sketched being crammed inside with other people who are coughing and sniffling.

Bring some sunglasses and an appetite and grab your newly found favorite beer and plan for an excellent experience tasting deliciousiosness...

I’ve been going to this place for 3+ years as we have a warehouse within the area. Today, while I was with my son, I was told I can not drink a beer from the 6 pack I bought from Society while we were waiting for our food per the bartender with the slightly grey beard. Our group has done this many times before. When I asked if I can finish my drink he said, ‘no, you have to leave now’ despite my report that I was unaware of any wrongdoing.

I requested the manager who told me that I should be aware that it is the law that I can not open a container that I bought within their facility while we wait for our food (we were playing cards). The manager asked the slightly grey bearded bar tender to put it in a glass and we were good. The bartender then intentionally picked a small glass to pour half of my remaining beer into before pouring out the rest of the beer that I had paid him for with a tip. The place is decent, just a bad bartender. We’ve spent well over 1k at this place throughout the years, we will not be...

Beyond horrible experience - specifically with the gentleman in the front named David. We were a group of 10 people that got dropped off by a prepaid shuttle since we couldn’t fit that amount of people in an Uber/ Lyft (the shuttle was not going to park and wait for us). Before we even got to the door, David walked up to us in the parking lot and said, “you guys can’t come in here”. When we asked him why he replied because we were dropped off by a shuttle and they have a parking issue. When I told him the shuttle wouldn’t be parking there he still wouldn’t let us in and said it’s because they have contracts with other shuttle companies. As a small business (especially one with many empty seat inside) I would expect them to not only want their locals business but also not promote “drinking and driving” by allowing their customers to get dropped off by a bus. Such a disappointment. Get it together and stop being money hungry...

Wife and I were looking for a good small local brewery and came across Societe. We found it easy enough and it was very busy, packed tables around a food truck outside, boisterous conversation inside, all of which we took as good signs. We saw that they prided themselves in Belgian beers and started ordering tasters. They don't do flights, just 2 tasters per person. We sampled their Belgian beers, and to our surprise, with how many people were there, we did not enjoy them... we did really like their sours they had, poured from the bottles and we liked their darkest Belgian style beer out of all we tried. So we tried their stouts, very watery and we couldn't finish the tasters... Didn't try their IPAs, maybe they are great, but we didn't want to try anymore. It was also VERY loud and echo-y inside, so if you're sensitive to noise, it could get to you. There were also a few children and dogs there too, so they welcome all!

Societe is a large, open, rustic looking brewery with views of their massive brew tanks. The bartender was a hilarious woman that was also very helpful and insightful about the various beers. She was in a great mood and it spread like wildfire to the other patrons, myself included. I only had one beer, but I intend to go back for many more because it was deep with tart crisp flavors. I believe it was called the Highwayman, but I could be wrong. There are several food trucks which come by to get snacks at, and the schedule for them is written within the brewery. Highly recommended.

Really like their stout “The Butcher” and their pale ale “The Statesman” is also delicious. This brewery is tucked away off of Clairemont Mesa Blvd. right next to the 163 freeway in Kearny Mesa. There is plenty of parking and a huge tasting room. They have a nice, varied selection of beers that rotate from time to time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and very clean. They give tours of the brewery often (I think at 4pm on weekdays but don’t quote me). Another cool perk is that they have different food trucks almost every day.
