There was a parking lot right in front of the restaurant, they have both indoor and outdoor seating but when we arrived there at 9:30 pm Wednesday night, the staff told us that we can only do take out while there were still people sitting and eating in there indoor seating area, I was confused but we did a takeout order anyway. They have a great selection of their burgers and sandwiches so I was really curious what sides and drinks they have but half of the menu screen was not working, I asked them if they can give me a paper menu but the staff said they don’t have one… My husband and I were shocked to see how small their food was, for the amount of food we paid for, it was too pricey. We first received our chocolate shake, there wasn’t any whipped cream on top, the cup was really small and it wasn’t even a full cup. Then we received the rest of our order but the bag seemed too light for me so we decided to check our order before we go and yes they missed our order🥲 We told them our fries were missing so we waited for another ten minutes for the fries, I supposed that ten minutes they were making our order so I was waiting patiently and really excited for our smash fries but surprisingly when I tried my fries the moment I received it, it was cold and again it wasn’t even full… And their burgers were really small too. The flavor of their fries and burgers were good, actually I really liked the rosemary they put in the fries but the fries were so thin and the burgers were so small, we were really disappointed with our experience at Smashburger.

Smash Burger is always delicious and it warms your belly. (that is my favorite part). We were leaving a store and saw a sign outside that said kid eats free on Wednesday We were politely greeted by Nathan, he was friendly and let me know, the kids eat free Wednesdays deal includes 1 free kid meal (drink included) per paid adult meal We love to find kids eat deals in San Diego, it allows us to reallocate the savings towards extended family fun. This deal encouraged was to sit and rest together. The restaurant is clean, has music playing, and has bathrooms(code req). We love a good deal not only was the kids eat free on Wednesdays deal great, but the food was great. I had the boys split their chicken tender meal this time and they cleared the plate which is not the usual. There are cute micro-games on a back table and coloring activities as where the kids could keep themselves busy (the adults too). We're not only going to come back especially on Wednesdays this summer, but we're going to tell our play date friends as well!

This location has plenty of parking. It’s next to Tajima. Inside is spacious and so is outdoor seating. Their menu and photos are all advertised for double but you’ll see the single option price in small font below to the right. We got the single bacon smash burger and single bbq bacon smash burger. Also smash burger fries and haystack onions. The bacon smash burger is a typical hamburger with lettuce and tomatoes while the bbq bacon smash burger is like a western burger. It’s sweet and has the haystack onions which are like crispy thin fried onions that goes on green beans casserole. The smash burger fries are like garlic fries. I finished my entire burger and I didn’t feel stuffed when normally I would only eat half a burger elsewhere due to the size. If we do come back, we would both upgrade to the double due to the thin patty. It’s also full of sodium that got me thirsty throughout the day. Their shakes are made with Haagen Dazs. yum!

My daughter and I went to Smashburger for lunch yesterday. I had 2 Groupons that were expired but Groupon's policy is you never lose the funds you paid for the Groupon, in my case $6 for each. After we ordered, I handed the woman my Groupons to which she told me they were "way expired" and I could not use them. I confirmed and explained to her the Groupon policy. She went back to consult the manager only to come back to say that the Groupon was not for their location. I pulled it up on my phone and asked her if 6061 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego was this address. She confirmed, I showed her my electronic copy of the Groupon which clearly indicated the Smashburger location we were standing in. She went back to the manager only to come back and tell me they would give me a discount of 10%. Uhmmm...no. That won't due as I was spending $21 and my Groupons totaled $12. She then consulted another manager who explained to me that there was no "button" to push on the register to accept the Groupon. Okay...so last I check, simple arithmetic would work...(21-12=9). Anyway, she was flustered and said, just go and we'll bring you your food. I told the manager I was not expecting a free meal and handed her a $20 and expecting she would give me $11 change. She said no, it was okay. I left the register with an uneasy feeling. I was not being difficult, nor trying to get something for free. I had paid the money for my Groupon and expected to pay the difference for our meal. The last thing I want anyone to think about me is I'm trying to get over. Although on the surface, the issue was resolved, but I still felt like I was needlessly embarrassed and made to feel like I was doing something wrong. I won't go to that...

I recently had the pleasure of trying Smashburger for the first time, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked In, I was enthusiastically greeted by Navy veteran Cody Shaw. He was able to answer every question I had about the menu in detail.

I ended up getting a Single Smashburger and Milkshake. The speed at which Mr. Shaw input my order was beyond amazing, only to be outdone by the handspun Milkshake made from scratch. Mr. Shaw crafted what many would say is the best Milkshake known to mankind.

Next up was the Smashburger. The first thing that struck me was the perfectly toasted bun, a light golden hue with a soft but slightly crispy texture that cradled the goodness within. The burger patty was a beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was flavorful and retained its moisture, providing that satisfying burst with each bite.

Layered on top was a generous helping of fresh, crisp lettuce and ripe tomato slices, adding a freshness that complemented the savory meat beautifully. The melted American cheese was creamy and rich, draping over the patty in a melty embrace that enhanced the overall flavor profile. A touch of pickles and their house-made ketchup provided a tangy zip, elevating each mouthful into a delightful harmony of tastes.

What truly sets Smash Burger apart is the attention to detail in the assembly. Every ingredient felt thoughtfully placed, ensuring that the flavors melded together without overshadowing one another. Also, not enough can be said about the hero working the register. Thank you for...
