bb.q Chicken El Cajon — Restaurant in San Diego

Hello!

I've had this before in Convoy and had a terrible experience but my little family was craving some chicken. Quick Google search and this location was close to home. I've always had bad luck trying new places but what the heck, why not?

So me and my family got there around 7:15pm, we were greeted by a very enthusiastic individual and man, he was something. Went through the menu, wasn't sure of what to get but hey, I winged it. Yes, PUN INTENDED.

The food was great, the original spicy was delicious, my son loved it so much, we ordered 16 more wings to take home.

The whole time we were there, our server kept us entertained. I don't know what kind of handbook y'all got your employee reading but it was straight out of a k drama AND WE LOVED IT.

His name was Kyle, Ky-lee, Ky what the heck ever le. He was amazing and he made my day. We really enjoyed the hospitality he granted us and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks to Kyle-san, we would love to come back again soon and have some of your delicious wings. That sounded weird but you guys get the point.

He also offered my youngest son the Wild Hot sauce and my son was not phased at all, me on the other hand, still in pain, might have to sit in the throne of wisdom for awhile but it was delicious.

I want to thank him personally and appreciate his personality and wholesomeness.

If you guys are iffy on trying out this spot, be like me. Wing it. You won't be disappointed!...

Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich

These guys make a pretty good fried spicy chicken sandwich.

I liked that the chicken was plump and juicy on the inside, not to mention flavorful and tasty. The outside had a very good crispiness about it and a medium spiciness. The fried chicken was great.

The sandwich came with an Asian slaw, which was tasty, but it was to water. As a result, it soaked into the bottom bun a but. I did like that they toasted the buns and did not overdo with the mayo and sauce they placed on the chicken.

The service was very friendly and polite. The young lady at the counter had a peppy personality. Oh yes! Offer pickles, they would be just grand on this spicy...

I'd read an article that rated b.b.q as the best fried chicken in the country, so I had to check it out. I would rate the chicken very good, but I've had better. The store itself is just a very generic takeout place, though it was very clean. The service friendly. The main reason I wouldn't go out of my to return is the prices. It cost $16 for half a chicken (comes in 8 pieces), with no sides. Literally just the chicken. It was $32 for a whole chicken (16 pieces). Like I said, good quality chicken, tasted good, but I think, personally, Tender Greens does a better fried chicken,...
