These are straight up some of the best tacos in the South Bay (99¢ tacos); however be advised that it’s a call in your order or put it in person type place. I personally wouldn’t do online orders from here. I keep seeing bad reviews but honestly I’ve never had anything here other than the tacos, carne asada fries, and chilaquiles but those dishes are always good so idk what people are ordering that is giving them such bad results. What I CAN tell you is that my family has been coming to this place for their adobada tacos for years because nobody does cheap adobada like this place. The tacos are 99 cents each🤯 like literally what in the 2015. I loveee it, and like be prepared they’re kinda small and it’s not like they’re gonna be the best adobada tacos you’ve had in your life but I really do like them and think they’re 100% worth their price. I do 4 tacos if I’m tryna fill up and 3 if I just wanna enjoy some and they always hit the spot. They also have a great selection at the salsa bar and the salsas are actually really good like flavor wise which is a big plus because I’ve been disappointed by taco shop salsas kinda a lot. They also give complementary chips and have cebollitas and chiles güeros on hand for the customer to grab. Be advised that there is a 50 cent card fee if you plan on paying with something like Apple Pay but this place is 10/10 and an actual local hidden gem so try it out if you end up finding this review. They’re worth a try and who doesn’t love getting enough tacos for 2 people to fill up for 8 bucks. I called in my order and they had it ready quickly which was so nice as we got to enjoy it at home with our favorite bevs all in under 30 mins. Check it out but overall,...
Read moreWhen I entered (lunchtime) there was one person waiting for a to-go order and a couple waiting for their dine-in order and there was a single employee working on the grill (immediately behind the register). I stood at the register for several minutes without any acknowledgement.
It was clear he wouldn't be acknowledging me until he'd completed the food orders he was working on, which was fine however when he'd finished there orders and stood behind the register he didn't say a single word to me. I ordered a single taco (in Spanish) and the only things he said to me were "One?" and "How many salsa containers?". Additionally, he spoke to me in English despite my speaking Spanish.
NOTE: The employee and other patrons were Latino, I am not He easily engaged with the other patrons however he did not even speak to me when he brought my food to my table. When the other patrons were leaving he said "Goodbye" but not a word was said to me. Perhaps he was offended that I spoke Spanish.... perhaps he doesn't like Black people, who knows.
Despite the at best rude/at worst hostile treatment, the adobada meat was the most flavorful I've ever tasted. It was juicy, tender and well complimented by the toppings. I won't return due to distance however I must admit that I would return for the food despite the...
Read moreI ordered online since the phone keep ringing busy. Went to pick up and as soon as I walk in they start yelling at me that it was closed. I tried to explain to the 4 employees that I had ordered online. I was in the process of showing them the receipt I had for the order and just ignored me and passed me on to two other employees. I kept asking what had happen and that I would like an explanation. Finally one employees decides to do her job and explain that the online order must of not gone through. Then the cook was like "ahorita lo hacemos" food cake out and it was really bland, the rolled tacos tasted stale as in they didn't fry it all the way and guac was bland no flavor at all and it had alot of sour cream which overpowered the whole plate. I also ordered al pastor tacos and the guac was also bland and the pork was dry. And then the awesome cook totally missed the guac on the taco and was on the plate....avoid this place unless u want bad service and food that...
