TL;DR - Great food; awful service.
My friends and I decided to eat brunch here after the Triton 5K (along with many others). It was packed. In short, the food was good. (Especially the potatoes). The service, however, was terrible. It is clear that the restaurant is under-staffed and poorly organized.
When we arrived, we were quoted a 15 minute wait. We were also told to go enjoy the beautiful view by the ocean (and that they'd get us when our table was ready). So we did. 25 minutes later, we inquired about our table. Apparently they called our name 15 minutes ago (we were enjoying the view and they were supposed to get us!). Fortunately, we were given an inside table right away.
It took about 10 minutes to finally get a waiter's attention once we sat down. (We ended up having to hail the bus-boy, who called a waiter, who took 5 minutes to show up). We ordered our food as normal.
The food took about 30 minutes to arrive. In the interim, coffees and waters were not refilled. When it arrived, one of our orders did not arrive. Without an apology, they said it would be out in 10 minutes.
Note that all interactions with the waiter required us to raise our hands, call the waiter's name, and make eye contact. We waited 25 minutes for table service (we could have sat at the bar!) and received nothing of the sort.
After the food arrived, we enjoyed it together. The food was fairly good and portions were also fairly good. I ordered the Bella Vista omellette and quite enjoyed it. The crisp potatoes were excellent.
After eating, we asked for the check. After 5 minutes of waiting for it, I approached the waiter and paid on the spot. Unfortunately, we were offered no apologies nor compensation for the horrible experience. After requesting, he was willing to remove the late item from the bill.
As we left we say several more people being told to "enjoy the view. We'll get you when your table...
Read moreCame in yesterday for a quick meal yesterday 8/7 and the staff were just lovely. It was nice to see them all chatting together and joking around with one another instead of the usual strictly quiet and almost robotic like employees you usually see at restaurants. The young girl working the register was very upbeat and gave great recommendations for my family and I. Our food came out quick and the man that brought it out to us was very kind and accommodating, he brought us all the sides and sauces we asked for without once complaining or looking annoyed. My only complaint was the music was a bit weird/creepy, kind of a weird hypnotic sound. Play some stuff that’s...
Read moreVery nice variety with a very casual and relaxing environment while you have the most beautiful views of the pacific ocean. I have tried several plates at the restaurants and haven't been disappointed once. All of their Italian choices (pastas, lasagna, cannoli) are great and for catered events my favorite is the paella. The staff is very friendly and they always try to accommodate every single request.
In general, a great place to go for a quick bite, a relaxed lunch or early dinner or to have a couple of quiet drinks after work. Finally, a great easy to work company to...
