Wendy's — Restaurant in San Diego

Sorry Dave Thomas, but this is the worst food I've ever had at a Wendy's in 30+ years. I had a Double Dave no cheese and fries, and both were terrible.

The fries were old and greasy. Now, in fairness, the lady at the counter did ask me if I wanted these or could wait 15 minutes. I couldn't wait and after trying one or two fries, decided to take them. Big mistake, because they tasted worse 5 minutes later.

Then there's the burger. Wendy's is maybe the only remaining chain in California where the meat patties are still really thick -- everywhere else, they're now like pieces of cardboard, and eating double or triple patties doesn't improve the taste. But despite their thickness, the Double Dave's patties were still incredibly dry and tasteless.

Then there's the tomato slices. At first, they gave me the butt end of a tomato -- both the smallest piece and mealy. I'd asked for onions and they barely gave me the tiniest single ring. I asked for a replacement on the horrible tomato, and they gave me 2 larger slices - both mealier than the previous. So I went back to the counter a second time and a staff member pulled out a tray of tomato slices, gave me a small container full of many slices. I got back to my table, only to discover that all these tomatoes were also mealy.

So a triple suck for Wendy's: dry patties, barely an onion despite my request for "onions," mealy tomato slices served not once but three times. And that after I had a craving for...

Where do I begin, It a Friday, My father finds out of this deal for getting a free burger for buying one burger, so drive there and order from drive-thru... We order 10 chicken nuggets, a large french fries, some sauce and a spicy chicken sandwich. We were supposed to get the free burger, so my father told the person behind the window about the deal saying we wants to get his free burger, so they say yes, and we wait 2 mins and they hand us our order. My father parks somewhere and we decide to eat, we first take out the french fries and nuggets, and then when I pull out a burger, my father puts his hand inside the bad to get the other one, only to find the bag empty but napkins and a straw (For some reason). My father is confused looking at the receipt saying our entire order except for the extra sandwich, what makes this even more interesting is that a burger at wendys is about 2.19 maybe more, and the nuggies,french fries, and sauces together is about 8.48, total should be 10.67. So where did the extra 6 bucks come from? and if so why is there no extra burger. We were distraught and confused by this, worst part is my fathers points and the deal for that order are now "Used Up" in the app, meaning we didnt get what we wanted exactly and were charged more and couldn't get out points back. Now while I have never actually been to a Wendy's before let me tell you about my experience. They have square burgers who does that? why would anybody actually go to a Wendy's is beyond me perhaps they have good milkshakes but I can neither confirm nor deny this. Maybe it's because of the red-headed mascot that people visit. Maybe it's because of their crummy commercials. or maybe it's just plain ignorance or nostalgia. I have seen them many times in my life all of the times that I have seen them they have drive-thrus and there are people waiting in those drive-thrus. So I can confirm that they have drive-thrus. I can also confirm that they have cashiers and Cooks. And some of them have bathrooms. I'm also guessing that the air is breathable and that people survived the trip. I cannot confirm nor deny if they enjoyed it however I would suggest reading review from somebody who has gone to Wendy's before. in fact instead of reading this review maybe you should go look at memes or something.
