Acai R — Restaurant in San Francisco

Best California fusion açaí! What really stands out to me about this açaí spot is that they offer black sesame butter as a topping. Black sesame is one of my favourite flavours, and it pairs so well with all the bases. Each build-your-own bowl is set at a fixed price based on size, and toppings are unlimited, so it's a great value.

Everything from parking to ordering and enjoying the açaí is super easy. There's plenty of metered street parking along Ocean Ave, and I've often been able to park very close. You can order online or in person at their in-store kiosk. They have plenty of indoor seating in case you want to "dine in", and the place receives lots of sunlight, so it's a great space to hang out.

The place near CCSF is a little like an Apple store, all white and plenty of places to plug in. And the staff are super friendly and very helpful.

I chose to get a large bowl and had them fill it with all sorts of goodies! They are open to customers getting whatever they have on the menu in whatever amounts and combinations, which I appreciate.

I got a base of acai and pink dragonfruit chia pudding with vanilla granola and then cashews, almond butter, goji berries, golden flax seeds, cacao nibs, toasted coconut, with blueberries and pineapple, and a little sprinkle of matcha on top.

It was tasty, healthy, filling (I got the large bowl, while my friend got the medium, as appropriate for each of us), and very satisfying. They also have cucumber...

VERY solid acai bowls here and they are a little expensive, but they are also gigantic. I got a regular bowl and feel like maybe I should have gotten the small since it came in a huge container and just I got everything inside it and felt stuffed. It was really nice to have a choice between all the toppings and bases and not have to just pick one.

The standout was the acai base and the sesame base which was just unique.

The place has a super cute interior with outlets and a good clean vibe.
