LOVE IT! Miles is a co-owner and FABULOUS! He's KOOL, funny, and quite graciously welcoming! His parents are also lovely and raised an awesome human spirit of ale and spirits! šŸ˜Ž His bear cub charm makes this beer pub warm. They intend to be vocal about how they spend local. It's a labor of love & another nub for a neighborhood grub hub to invest in the West, with good mood food that is farm fresh. The garlic aioli is YUM YUM! It was my first time ever having it. Now I look for it e'rywhere, because their's is so flavorful! I must assume the beers/ales are great also, but I just don't drink much alcohol. Their lemonade is tasty, and if you're a fabdabulously special person like me, they'll create something refreshing to match your sweetness!! For honesty & legitimacy, I gave 4 stars for FOOD, as I've only had a few treats, but ALL else gets 5 stars!! AND based on what I have had, I'm sure you'll be VERY pleased! Co-owner & best friend of Miles, Dan Cook I Can is da Man, of whom I'm a fan is a bit shy, but don't let da smooth taste fool ya! He may be a teddy bear, but he's a grizzly with a spoon ready to fork your tastebuds up. His mission from his kitchen is dish'n da yum yum to make your mouth water, made to order if ya choose to pair with good booze & a musical groove! A finger lick'n plate by Dan will linger on your mind as you contemplate the next time you come back to wine & dine on da sublime! Satiation...

This place doesn’t deserves a star, people is not professional, they are zombies, they forget almost everything, they really don’t care about a good service, but if you don’t know about a good place you might think this is good because in that area there’s nothing, so you end up in this trashy place, EXPENSIVE, and dirty!!!! Most employees are like teenagers with no experience and no awareness of the impact they leave to people just by not caring of the service, they don’t know how to work and just look careless even tho they just walk around taking a napping or a fork to a table and all the rest is in need of a professional attention, is a cheap place but expensive, we ate the food and the food was terrible !!!!! No flavor and even no taste, we had various dishes and none had flavor… the kids are careless, what happened here!!!!! It’s like a food truck!! Food trucks have better food and better service, but like I said: if you don’t have more options this is the place….will never come back and regret going there and spend money there- not worth it… chose a better...

We were looking for a good food and beer place after watching a movie at the Regal Stonestown Galleria (that's another review), and Ocean Ale House came up. It was about 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday, so the place was pretty empty, but I can see how it would be very popular during prime time.

Of course, all the reviews rave about the Fried Potatoes ($9), which we can attest to. It was just two of us, and we maybe ate half a serving. Did I mention it's a large serving? I ordered the BLT ($15), which was fantastic. My wife ordered the salmon salad sandwich, which I can't recall the price of, but she thought it was excellent, with plentiful chunks of fish. The service was excellent, with 3 employees periodically checking on us throughout our visit.

Of course, we had to wash it all down with beer, of which they have plenty of from a variety of local craft breweries.

Ambience-wise, it's pretty ordinary, but they are in the middle of expanding, so I'll reserve judgment for now. Besides, with such good food, beer and service, who cares what the...

This is a special place and has been on my list to try forever, I regret I didn't try it sooner. The food is incredible, everything I saw come out of the kitchen I wanted to try. I got the chicken wings, Caesar salad, and fish O' fillet everything was delicious. Wings were huge with an amazing crunch, perfect tang and spice. The Caesar was a special and didn't disappoint great house made dressing and 3 delicious anchovie fillets. The star of the night was the fish O' fillet pan toasted sliced sourdough, incredible house made tarter sauce, fresh beer battered cod, pickles and melted white American cheese. Just writing this I want another one. Beer selection was really good as well with some fun and creative cocktails. The service was impeccable, very attentive but let you relax and enjoy.

Surprisingly one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite awhile, although you’re going to pay nearly $20 for it. Staff is extremely pleasant, friendly, and very energetic, so take heed if its first thing in the morning for you! 😁 Beer selection is somewhat eclectic, but suffers from the same thing that afflicts all of California; everything is super hoppy or sour and also $8-$10 for a pour (but they are generous pours). We did not stay for the music but sounds like it is frequent. Nicely unpretentious, the friendliness of the staff stood out, even if it was a bit too energetic for my sleepy self! Worth a visit and would be a great neighborhood spot to have nearby. Fairly large food menu and I’m going to assume the items we did not try, are likely surprisingly good for pub food.
