Food truck pizza with really fresh ingredients including famous Molinarie's Deli sliced pepperoni , big coaster size slices with micro ribbon sliced fresh basil over the whole pizza ,good mozzarella and perfect amount of sauce .The dough light and airy with some browned bubbles on the edges " you know what I'm talking about" . I didn't see him going old school throwing the dough but it wouldn't suprise me. I just walked up on this truck with a covered dining area and music playing low , some Bob Marley actually and a few stand alone outdoor warming stoves to take the chill off then there's string lighting giving the place a nice vibe. I ordered a cool beverage and a 14 in medium pepperoni and sat down to wait and check my voice mail and one by one then a group a few couples and what the heck is going on here? I thought.... Then he called out the little window" Pepperoni up!" It comes in the standard box so I opened th lid to give it a light shake of red chili flakes.... folks..... I started laughing and said somthing close to "shut the front door" you did not make this in the back of this frigg'in truck man c'mon! I got another adult beverage sat down and ate half that pie then got a ride instead of waiting till I arrived home to eat thinking this pizza will be OK but nothing to write about.I was all wrong again so check it out somtime.Sorry, heh! Don't know the hours of operation. Also serving a nice Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir by the glass. Just...
Read moreALL BAD PIZZA - I just bought a sandwich from this place and then asked for a glass of water. They told me I had to purchase bottled water. That they wouldn't give me any. This was a $10 sandwich plus tip, so I was a paying customer.
They are in the middle of nowhere, with no drinking fountains available. There is no sign saying, purchased bottled water only.
When I wrote to complain about this on their IG account, they claimed to have no potable water at the location. I find it hard to believe that they can be in business for 10 years, serving homemade lemonade and drinks from fountains, without having any water available in their truck to give to customers. If this were true, they should have come up with a solution many years ago. Buy a large plastic container of water that they get refilled to offer to their customers who aren't interested in buying water.
I close to never buy water in bottles. I wasn't planning on doing so there, but I did want some water as I was thirsty. This is a reasonable request for a place you buy food from, to have water.
They were not nice about communicating the information with me. They did not offer a solution.
This is a very poorly run business if they can't even provide basics to their customers.
I will definitely never return. I guess this is what you get with these food trucks...it really isn't a restaurant and the taste of the food just doesn't...
Read moreAn empty lot transformed; a food truck anchored; a chainkink fence disappears under succulent grow curtains. The outdoor environment is a little oasis. The pizza is delicious.
Based on nothing more than my amazing powers of speculation, I imagine the following: A professionally trained chef, with an artist's passion for authentic, Italian pizza, stumbled upon a distressed, undeveloped, and undesirable piece of San Francisco real estate. The true genius lies in the DIY creativity and vision that transformed an ugly unwanted lot into a beautiful, inviting, warm, homey, friendly, eco-conscious, environment.
I was impressed by the artistry and thoughtfulness behind the succulent based decor. The natural ambiance was so welcoming, I felt like I belonged there. My tribe? My people? Separated at birth? It was a familiar paradise. A friend's backyard on a beautiful day.
Oh, and the pizza? Loved, loved, loved it. San Francisco is not exactly lousy with great pizza. There's that place I love on Clement, Piology, and a ton of less than inspired places that sell overpriced, flat, round, bread that, for an additional charge, will include your choice of toppings. Whatever. Boring but it is food.
The dream I dared not dream has been realized. Delicious, real, priced for the people, not just for the profit, is magically within my geographic reach. Did I...
