Bistro Mediterraneo on Clement St in San Francisco offers an average dining experience when it comes to food quantity. The restaurant showcases a charming Mediterranean ambiance that sets the mood for a relaxing meal. The menu boasts an array of Mediterranean dishes, highlighting flavors from various countries in the region.

When it comes to the portion sizes, Bistro Mediterraneo tends to lean towards the average range. While the plates are not overwhelmingly large, they are also not disappointingly small. The portions provide a decent amount of food to satisfy most appetites. However, for those with larger appetites or those looking for a more substantial meal, it may be necessary to order additional dishes or sides.

The quality of the food at Bistro Mediterraneo is generally commendable, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The Mediterranean-inspired cuisine offers a good variety of options, including salads, grilled meats, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. Each dish is carefully prepared and presented, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

While the food quantity may not be the restaurant's standout feature, Bistro Mediterraneo compensates with its attentive service and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu, making dining here a pleasant experience.

Overall, if you are seeking a cozy Mediterranean dining experience with decent portion sizes, Bistro Mediterraneo on Clement St is worth considering. Just keep in mind that those with heartier appetites might need to order additional items to feel...

I was totally mistaken by the name and all the positive reviews. Once I got there, I was disappointed at the atmosphere but wanted to give it a try. That was a mistake. We ordered lentil soup and a plate of gyros. As we were waiting for food, I noticed that the kitchen was almost missing. I am not even sure if there is any burner or any proper cooking equipment. That is not a good sign! The food came out quickly, probably because there is no cooking done in the back. The lentil soup was very sour (too much lemon?) and lacked flavor. I feel like nothing is fresh there. They should change the name to something that represents "Turkish shop selling food/snacks." There is nothing close...

We shared the gyro, grilled mutabbal and baklava with pistachio ice cream.

The gyro was mildly spiced, as requested, and very filling. The grilled mutabbal plate had a medley of different portions ...salad...hummas. The pita bread was warm. Luckily, we ate half the two main dishes. The bottled varieties of juice drinks was refreshing especially the cocktail juice.

The dessert was like a Mediterranean ice cream sandwich. The homemade triangular baklava was filled with pistachio ice cream which was just enough to share or gracefully eat alone.

It was totally grand with the sunny view and the warmth of the sun while sitting in the intimate patio...
