20250405 First time back to check out the opened renovations. Love the new China Beach placement of the monument, signage and historic notes. Seriously proud of the new and sturdier blockades that were put up. Gone are the rotting wood and major fear of erosion mud slides. There was some water puddles near the picnic area…where new park tables and benches and bbq section could use some upgrades. However the updated Parking area is also very nice. Read moreChina Beach is really nice secluded beach that not many people come to. There was a lot of construction going on so beware of that. Parking is limited but free so come early if you want to park near. There are porta potties at the top of the hill for the construction workers but other than that there are no bathrooms near this beach. Steep stair case to climb to get down to the beach so be careful going up and down it, fun fact if you go up it three times it's the equivalent of a redwood tree according to my fitbit.
