Bad review for that restaurant. I had been there for several times and everything was fine when it was current. Speaking of the current,The food was great and the service was literally nice. But now everything has been changed from great to “horrible”. Today,I get into the restaurant and ask if I can have the family meal which can feed me and my friends. Here is the dialogue .” Oh, hi, may I have a family meal and eat here?”(by the way, my english is not good since English isn’t my first language and it is reasonable to conclude that that is one of the reasons for which he treats us so “well”)and that “innocent fellow” response that sorry about that you guys cannot eat here since that combination is to go. I didn’t get that “friendly” metaphor, which can be refers to expire us at first. I didn’t use any inappropriate word and I was kinda confessed about what happened. And then, I said,” alright, can we get three pork curry?and eat here.”and he responses that either eat here or to go, and the only choice for us is to go. Plus, he said” I don’t like your rude attitude and plz, go.” What a sigma? Let be honest, if you don’t want to service us, that is fine, everyone understand you guys torture, servicing everyone and providing quality food in timed conditions. But I cannot accept that refusion with such a hilarious reason- rude attitude torturing him. Maybe I am overthinking every aspect of each conservation I have ever had! Even A hello purposely means everyone hates and insults him! My apology and I DO APOLOGIZE FOR MY WORD! And tone! Cause that is the way revealing how awful customers torture the innocent waiter! Meanwhile, I feel offended as he said you don’t have to pay and have a nice day( have a nice day!). What do I supposed to say? Thanks for your great service and I said it back,” have a great day!”. Upon his great effort, I shall never go to that restaurant and I want to tell any viewers seeing this post, That restaurant and its waiter( just one single people, other people is friendly and understand that I am not good at English and still be nice, and I do appreciate for their understanding and virtue.) are notorious for weaponizing their anxiety and using it to place the blame on anyone they don’t like, or anyone which cannot speak fluent English. And they do provide extra service such as twisted interpretation for expiration! Reluctant to leave that message for that restaurant, but It is my responsibilities to show off my experience. Have a nice day, Mr.counter! And Thanks for your polite word and great great...

They have extended hours now, which is great, because now I am able to come after work hours to get a katsu sandwich if I so desire! This place is very casual and reminiscent of a mini mart and old fashioned LA eatery of late-night sandwiches and 3am burritos.

Unfortunately, they don't close that late, but late enough as a dinner to grab on your way back from your commute from work. They have chicken, pork, shrimp, and mushroom katsu sandwiches. I've only had the opportunity to try the chicken katsu sandwich: It's a solid sandwich that pairs even better with the sauce, though I'd be more impressed if it was flavorful enough without the addition to its slightly spicy sauce side (that you are given).

It's definitely too much for me to eat at once, and the sandwich was sliced in half that you can stow away to eat later if the first half fills you up!

It's in a convenient location, which there is parking on a plaza lot and alongside the streets.

The front is clean, but plain, and some would consider the sandwiches pricey for the area. It was pretty quiet when we stopped by, maybe if they had a radio or curated playlist that played into the aesthetic of the shop, that would be pretty cool. In addition to more drink choices ( the more unique or zany the better!) as the selection was lack luster. Would also appreciate a larger selection of varied merch like patches, car fresheners, car decals, enamel pins, ect, as I find the mascot very endearing.

Will update again when I am able to try their other delicious sounding offerings! Happy to have a katsu place here, and hope it...

This casual eatery offers a simple menu and quick service, but the execution lacks refinement. The minimalistic interior with few tables and loud pop music creates an energetic but unpolished ambiance.

We ordered a pork sandwich, honey walnut shrimp sandwich, and wagyu waffle fries. The food arrived promptly, and sandwiches were neatly sliced in half. However, the soft, flavorless bread left much to be desired. The pork cutlet was juicy but lacked seasoning. The honey walnut shrimp sandwich fared better, though the thick sugar coating on the walnut made it difficult to bite through.

The wagyu waffle fries with melted cheese curry dipping sauce were the standout, carrying most of the flavor. Despite their name, the fries contained no wagyu beef.

The most surprising aspect was being prompted for a significant tip at checkout, when there was no table service. The default tip options of 20-25% felt unjustified given the lack of any real service. I adjusted the tip to 10% to reflect only the minimal order taking and food preparation involved. I simply placed my order, picked up my ready food, cleaned up, and left.

Overall, this restaurant offers convenience more than an exceptional dining experience. The menu needs refinement for the flavors to match the attractive presentations. With improved bread, seasoning, and sauce balance supporting the simple preparations, this casual eatery could achieve its potential for a quick,...

I had the opportunity to try out the katsu store's menu, which features a limited but well-executed selection of fried chicken, pork, menchi (Japanese meatballs), and shrimp sandwiches. I must say, the katsu was fried to absolute perfection, with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. However, as someone who enjoys a bit of tanginess and zest in my sandwiches, I couldn't help but notice that the sandwiches lacked a bit of acidity or pickles to cut through the richness of the fried meat. Despite this minor critique, I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the store and its old-school vibe, which evoked a sense of nostalgia for the 90s. Overall, I would highly recommend this katsu store for anyone looking for expertly fried meat sandwiches and a cozy, retro atmosphere.

Clean place maybe too clean. Looks brand new kinda plain looking but not a problem. Small selection of items but everything looks quality and hand made except for the snack bar and drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Got busy fast so come at a good time. A bit pricey as I paid 28 dollars for 2 sandwiches and order of fries. One bathroom. Small parking lot also so drop someone off the find parking if you solo you sol. No cash only card. As for the food. Got the Menchi thick pattern still a little pink in the middle. Juicy but lacks flavor. Fires are crispy but were not that hot suace was ok not hot at all. Sandwhich needs mustard or ketchup or mayo whatever you perfer. Pickels and some onions would make it better imo. I will come back to try the pork sandwich.
