One of my friends brought me here for hot pot but I didn't feel any special from this place. First of all, It has outside and inside seats so it is benefit people who frequently smoking. This place don't have AYCE opinion so that I believe food quality and portion can be better based on the prices. However, both standard is rate 6/10 in my mind because I believe they can make an improvement for "Okay quality" and "small portion" in food. Also, it has BBQ option but meat and vegetable didn't look fresh at that day. The better part was soup broth because we could tasted herb ingredient inside of it. On the service part, I think it is okay but staff can do it better. Based on parking, I believe it relies on street parking or huge parking next to this place because it seems doesn't have enough parking for customers.
Overall, my rate is between 3-3.5 stars because I believe sometimes AYCE hot pot restaurant do a better job than this restaurant, and also parking maybe another problem when it comes to perk time for...
Read moreI will drive an hour in traffic to this place. Ok, maybe not in traffic but I will definitely take a drive. That’s how good it is. I live in the South Bay. My friend who lives in the SGV invited me one night and I’ve been back ever since. I’ve dined in and have also ordered take-out. If you order take-out, you need to prepare it at home. This can be either good or a deal-breaker depending on perspective. I prefer dining in with friends/family. It’s so worth it! But take-out adds the convenience of being creative with other ingredients at home. I would not recommend dining alone because it can be expensive or limited with ingredients. My mouth drools when I think of their soup! Especially the spicy one! 🤤 I love their outdoor dining area. I love that it’s never too crowded. They stay open late which is great for late night dinners. I was there during thanksgiving and also Xmas. Service is wonderful! If I lived close to Monland Hot Pot Soup, I’d most definitely and absolutely be one of...
Read moreA wide variety of food at reasonably priced, but the secret is with their soup base (which I think had some type of flavor enhancer added). They also have a full sauce bar where you can build your own sauce. Opted out of the fresh coconuts as they could only poke a hole for you; they don't chop off the top.
Order a few dishes to start because it's easy to over order. Stay away from the fancy stuff (i.e., abalone) and go with the common beef, lamb, shrimp, lotus roots, etc. One must try is their fresh fish; they will take a fresh fish and do most of the de-boning leaving you with a fish head and about eight big pieces of fish from the body. If you're a noodle person, go for the clear noodles as they do a good job absorbing the soup.
The sauce station was interesting but a good design.
Not much dessert options here, so you'll need to walk across the street or up half a block to Valley for...
