Tensevenrolls used to be at Blossom Market Hall but unfortunately due to leasing issues, they had to relocate to a more quiet area. I don't mind this since there's plenty of parking. This was our first time trying it and we came because of the promotion we saw on SGV eats.
Taste: The garlic noodles are very good and it was worth it to pay extra for the meat. The grilled chicken was very smoky and flavorful. The shrimp was cooked perfectly as well. Their garlic noodles beats the ones from Nguyens Kitchen/Soup Shop. We also tried the lychee slush and che drink. Lychee slush was refreshing for this 109 degree weather. Normally, I'm not a fan of che but this one is really good because it didn't have red bean which is normally dislike. It had pieces of lychee, jackfruit, and jelly in coconut milk. Very good.
Value: We came for the $10.07 garlic noodles promotion. We opted to add $2 for shrimp and $2 for chicken. It was a fair portion for the price. Some people will say it's a little pricey for what it is, but I felt like the ingredients were good quality and it's a flavor I can't replicate at home.
Service: So their interior is not set up yet because they're waiting for the permit but we spoke with a friendly man who seemed like the owner(?). He was very informative of the menu items, his plans for the shop, and even let us try two of their drinks. It took about 10-15 minutes for our food to be finished. I would suggest to get take out at this time until the interior seating is set up, as it's still hot during summer time.
Overall, their great tasting food and friendly service is why I want to come back and next time I'll try their other dishes like cha...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Tensevenrolls Vietnamese restaurant, a family owned establishment located inside the Blossom Market Hall food court in San Gabriel. After hearing great things about this place on Yelp, I was excited to finally have the chance to try it out.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with quick and friendly service. I decided to order the papa meal, which included two crunchy egg rolls, four banh cuons, and one spring roll with lettuce and mint leaves. The food was incredibly authentic and delicious, and I could tell that the restaurant takes pride in using fresh and quality ingredients.
One thing that really impressed me was the owner's dedication to preserving family recipes. The banh cuon recipe used at Tensevenrolls has been passed down through generations, which really adds to the authentic taste and experience.
While the meat in the banh cuon was a bit on the salty side for my taste, it did not detract from the overall authenticity and quality of the dish. In fact, I am already looking forward to trying their Banh Xeo on my next visit.
Overall, I highly recommend Tensevenrolls for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine in the San Gabriel area. The combination of friendly service, quality ingredients, and authentic recipes make it a must-visit for anyone who loves...
Read moreOrdered Bahn Xeo and although it was an interesting dish I had never tried before, it was disappointing overall. The crisp shell was nice but the shrimp and pork filling was unseasoned and way over cooked. The pork was so tough and dry you could not bite through it. Also, quantity of food is small for a $20 lunch, was still hungry...
