First off, the ice cream bar is clean and looks well maintained. There are a couple of scoopers to the right in a small water fountain. Grab a bowl, scoop some ice cream and leave it nice for the next guest. Easy peasy.
I went for the sushi, two were worth eating and actually surprised me a bit by their quality. The salmon and the yellow tail, wow. I don't recommend any rolls. Knowing they have king crab on Sunday nights I went for lunch on Monday thinking they would use real crab in the California roll. No such luck and the sushi chefs don't know how to peal the cucumber. So I made due with just the two selection of fish. For my dates were two Chinese ladies that both can cook very well. They and I all agreed the food was not prepared correctly. Altho I liked what I had they pointed out that when they prepare it it's much better. Yes. I think they should be hired as chefs there. They laughed. A few things I had that could be called American food, the chicken wings, were dry. They did them up two different ways, both were lacking. I did like a few pieces of shrimp I had but wish it was pealed. I'm not into eating shells. All in all I will eat there again. Sure the sushi left much to be desired but where can you walk in and out for lunch in a half hour and get back to work on time? Yes, I've had better food but not nearly so quickly. I should go for dinner and give it a real test. Maybe next time. An excellent selection of fruit was laid out. All very good. The ice cream was ok, I'd have it again too. Didn't try cookies pie or cake. Sorry, but it all looked fresh and appetizing. All the staff was very courteous and friendly and did their jobs well. Booths are spacious and comfortable, tables were all clean. The ambience was pretty and walking around was easy. Plenty of napkins and condiments. Go, give it a try. Just $15 for lunch AYCE.
BTW, I like a place that isn't family friendly. I don't want to hear or even see your rug rats. Stay home and eat in. If you go out leave the kiddies at home. Very few parents know how to instill good behavior in...
Read moreMe and my friend went to eat lunch at Shiki Seafood Buffet as I was going to get the fried shrimps the container was taken out coz it was empty but then I saw the guy who was going the shrimps and was ready to put it in the container coz I was waiting for him, some of the shrimps dropped on the dirty floor where he was standing and he picked it up and put it on to the rest of the shrimps into the container so I confronted him and told him “Why” did you put it back it’s gross and the rest of the shrimps must be contaminated with the bacteria’s or germs , the guy just did not listen coz he does not speak English , I told the other guy same thing just shrug his shoulders it’s a big Shiki s Seafood Buffet jet mo one speaks English? I did not eat the shrimps anymore and lost my appetite I told the lady manager what happen and she said that she was going to fire him ,I don’t believe her . We pay $21.99 each yet we don’t deserved to be cheated by this guy by dropping the shrimps on the dirty floor and put it back to the container where the rest of the shrimps did not drop . Is this their protocol that when something drops pick it up and put it in the same container where the clean ones are there . You should be ashame of what you are doing, I could have reported it to the Dept. of Health.of what Shiki Seafood Buffet is doing . They should train their workers Cleanliness, we are trying to avoid Covid but they are the ones who are violating the rules. I’m hoping that the owner of this Shiki Seafood Buffet should look into this matter as soon as possible.I don’t want to go that place anymore even if some of the food is okay it should be coz it’s pricey too. We don’t mind as long as it clean. If I didn’t see it he will do it all over again I hope the manager should have talked to that guy , I remember his face. Will not go back to that...
Read moreHeard about this new sushi buffet a few months ago and finally came here for dinner tonight to check it out and it was only OK. The price is a lot higher than other sushi/Chinese buffet at $24.99 per person for dinner vs $14.99 to $16.99 at other sushi buffet places. The food quality is ok but the flavor can use some improvement. The crab legs were a bit overcooked and the meat started sticking to the shell and the shell becoming soft and not easy to crack. The flavor was definitely not that fresh but still edible. The sushi selections were good but they don't look that fresh. Service was not that good initially. We had to wait to be seated with no host to greet us or ask how many in our party for almost 5 minutes. Another party got mad because they waited before our party and was not served first and sounded like they were arguing with the hostess/waitress in Mandarin Chinese when the hostess was about to take us to a table and ended up taking them first. Anyway, don't understand what they were saying but sounded like arguing to me. Was disappointed that they ran out green tea ice cream and another flavor I wanted to try. Will I come here again? Only if someone else is paying because I don't feel the price matches the flavor/quality. Kami buffet is very similar and the quality/flavor is better and at a lower price. The only thing above average is the interior design. However, the stone/ceramic floor can definitely use a power cleaning and they need to turn off the hot water and turn on the cold water in the restroom because it's...
