Garden Inn San Gabriel — Hotel in Temple City

I would recommend staying here for any events in the area! All in all, a great place to stay for the price! No major issues and I would definitely stay again if I planned to visit the area. There was some noise from the new construction but they stopped at a reasonable time and we were able to relax and sleep well. The bed is a little hard but still comfortable. The bedding was clean. The rooms are currently being upgraded and we got a room that had all new furniture. The room did not have the mini fridge that was advertised when booking which might be a issue for longer stays but didn't bother us much for our one night visit. I'd imagine they're waiting on new mini fridges to arrive or they haven't updated their postings. The breakfast in the morning was limited but offered really good coffee and juice. There's a waffle maker to make fresh waffles 😄 there's a 7-eleven within walking distance that we used to buy some protein shakes for breakfast. The shower head was calcified and only worked well on one setting but the shower was clean and the water was hot. Our window opened to allow for fresh air but it didn't have a screen on it. The TV wasn't the best quality and it only had a couple channels that we found interesting. Also, the stand that the bed sits on is almost like a filing cabinet turned on its side and makes a loud noise when you barely touch it but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. Do NOT GO THERE!!! FRAUDULENT, NOT COZY AT ALL, ETC.

The verbiage and photos show/say GUEST LUGGAGE STORAGE . Which is what I need, so I booked the room. Take a Lyft cab there to unfortunately find out they do not have one!

THE LIGHTS ARE RIDICULOUSLY WHITE BRIGHT STADIUM LIGHTING OVER THE BEDS AND BATHROOM AND SINK/MIRROR AREA AND ROOM IN GENERAL. What total FOOL decided to have them installed them needs to be fired.

THE TABLES AND LAWN CHAIRS OUTSIDE ARE FILTHY DIRTY AND DISGUSTING, yet Dan at the front desk (skinny young idiot) tells guest to go sit on them without giving you a towel to sit on.

What could be considered the lobby (where the breakfast is SUPPOSED to be served), they don't have chairs and tables in for that nor for guests to sit and wait for rides, make calls, etc.

Hundreds of black birds gather on the palm trees in parking lot SCREAMING together for over 30 minutes at a time flying from tree to tree as if under distress.

Only 2 pathetic face towels and hand towels and bath towels are in the rooms.

I absolutely loved my room, especially for the price on a Friday near LA you cant beat it. Super friendly staff and i was able to check in a couple hours early with no problem. They have daily breakfast with good selections. The room was clean and spacious. Much bigger than the pictures show. I fell in love when I opened the door and seen the tall ceilings(1st floor) with crown molding and gorgeous dark cherry wood colored glossy laminate floor. Comfortable big bed in perfect view of the flat screen TV, Lots of storage tables, an armchair with footstool, a fridge, and a full body mirror were great to have. There are also lots of small tables and chairs in front of the rooms which is nice to sit outside and relax or smoke. My only complaint would be the tub as far as the caulking around it was moldy looking unfortunately.

UPDATE: Two days after my first stay I stayed again and it was a huge disappointment. The guy put me in the last room on the bottom corner this time and i noticed right away it wasn't as nice as my other one. Eventually at 3:30 am I soon realized it was infested with disgusting bed bugs! That was my first encounter with them and i was freaking out. I called the office and told them and they put me in the same room as my first visit lol. I should have just asked for my money back cuz $100 wasn't worth it. So I know now that back corner rooms are infested!...
