Escape Duck Escape Room — Attraction in San Gabriel

Tried the grand thieves escape room because the reviews were good. The room itself was ok cause some puzzles were repetitive. The experience could have been better if we had a better host. This is the first time i experience asking hints to solve the game was given automatically through an ipad. The ipad gave us hints not in the order of what needed to be done. A lot of times we were wondering how did they get to this answer. When we were asking if we needed to do another puzzle first before moving on, the host didnt know and told us to keep going. Also the locks in the rooms needs to be replaced cause they require a lot of force to open. We thought the answer was wrong but it was the lock. This would be a good first time escape room but if you are looking for more intricate and fun experience, probably would try another such as mazerooms.com . Their fairy tale...

My group and I tried the Red Room and while it was interesting, the room didn't work great. For a lot of the puzzles, a cabinet wouldn't open, a safe wouldn't unlock, etc. even when we put in the right code/combination. The host was nice and helpful, but he had to interfere a few times because the room wasn't working like it was supposed to (ex: coming in to hand us a prop that should have been in the room after we had already spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't there). This got a little frustrating because we didn't end up finishing the room, but we think we could have if the earlier puzzles had worked correctly. Overall, I think the room was interesting and the staff was helpful, but the overall quality of our experience was not worth the...

This place is awesome. The lobby is filled with a bunch of duckies. :D there is even a little swing! Big duckie on the couch and is awesome. There are large and cute stickers everywhere. My family did the Grand Thieves escape room. (I cheated and unhandcuffed myself without keys hehe) anyways it was very fun, gave a generous amount of time to escape and even had a cool plot twist near the end :O the room used very clever puzzles that are fairly challenging. Also, if you find 5 hidden coins, you can get a FREE keychain, and if you find a sixth, you can get an I would HIGHLY recommend going...
