Mike's Steak House — Restaurant in San Germán

A party of 7 went early afternoon and there was a waiting time of 30 minutes that was really more like 10. Someone in our party had been suffering heat stroke and they gladly let her in with someone. After we were seated and had ordered drinks and appetizers, our friend passed out. We had to call 911 and left almost immediately. I have to say that the staff was the best!!! They were concerned, acted promptly, brought us ice. As this was happening the drinks and appetizers came out. Someone stayed behind to pay for them and they said to forget about it. This was HUGE. I've been to restaurants that argue with you if they make a mistake on your order!!! There was like $30 in alcohol and appetizers and they took the loss. I, we, will never forget that. I returned late evening (friend was hospitalized) to eat. I didn't remember their faces, but they asked how was my friend doing. I ordered a steak with mushrooms with house potatoes. It was delicious, cooked to perfection and brought quickly considering that it was Saturday evening and bustling with people. The margarita was nice and stiff. I took pics but can't find them now. Service was excellent. Food was fast, great. A bit pricey, but typical for steaks. Our server Ivelisse was specially attentive to our kids and making them happy. My youngest boy wanted a blue drink like in the menu, but that was a Blue Sangria. The server made a fruit drink that was blue just for him. Only negative was that it had small pieces of the orange peels, so he would not drink it all. They really made us feel at home, Nice place and setting. Only negative is lack of parking. You have to park on adjacent streets. We visited on a Saturday. The curve by the restaurant has yellow marking and reads loading area, so I did not park there. Yet, we are taking Puerto Rico so you will always see the local that does not believe in rules or signs that parked there. I had to part two streets down where there was no yellow curb. Great food and wonderful service. The food is cooked perfectly so every meal and side is delicious. The well done steak and the medium rare steak were both done exactly how much they needed to be. The chicken is tender and juicy with lots of good quality seasoning. The tostones are crispy and the garlic bread is very light. I recommend this restaurant to families and other groups as the environment is very social and welcoming. There is plenty of free street parking with a small parking garage up the road. Reservation is recommended as we had a 30 minute wait time before being seated on a Thursday evening. I would definitely...
