Bazille at Nordstrom — Restaurant in San Jose

[UPDATE] They recently updated their menu (as of March 2018) and the offerings are now on the healthier side. They only have two pizzas -- the Margherita and the Proscuitto Arugula. Pizzas are still good though, since they've kept their wood-fired oven. I like that they now serve warm bread to start along with some nice, soft butter and tons of olive oil and vinegar if you ask for it!

[OLD REVIEW] Little known cafe/bistro on the top floor of Nordstrom Valley Fair that serves amazing wood-fired thin crust pizzas! Okay, the crust isn't as amazing as some other places, but at least you don't have to fight lines or crowds to get amazing food here. The prices are also reasonable for what you're getting. Gotta love me my pepperoni & mushroom...

Really enjoyed this little cafe inside Nordstrom's. Ordered the kids mac and cheese and chicken tenders. The portions are huge. Chicken tenders at the auctions are french fries or fingerling potatoes and green beans. Got it with the green beans and fingerling potatoes. We also got the soup of the day which was tortilla chicken soup, a breakfast pizza that had smoked bacon and two eggs over easy on top. The pizza was excellent, very happy that this is a new addition to their menu. Overall the service is always excellent, the place is impeccably clean, staff very professional, and the service was quick and efficient. Bazille is a great place to catch up with friends, family, and enjoy a tasty meal while at Valley Fair. The seating booths are comfortable and the servers are friendly.

I ordered the crab bisque and it is filled with great flavor that melts in your mouth. The steak was yummy and paired well with the kalamata aioli dipping sauce.

The best part about Bazille is their delicious fries and kalamata aioli dipping sauce. They are my favorite, a must-try for anyone trying Bazille for the first time.
