Boba Pub — Restaurant in San Jose

Edit: Since I originally made this review they have really made an effort to improve on the issues I was having. I received a personal apology and a free drink. It’s been about two months and I’ve been back several times with no issues.

I used to go way more often but the quality has been slipping.

Flavor wise it’s my favorite milk tea place in the area. It doesn’t taste artificial and they have nice balance of tea to milk flavor. They let you have complete control over the sweetness level which is very important to me.

The place itself is a little bit shabby but the taste and price make up for it.

Most of the staff is very friendly although one of the girls they have working there always looks pissed.

My biggest issue is that half the time when I go there recently I end up getting a drink that isn’t even full. Once the foam on the top disappears by the time I get home I have a drink missing a third of the volume. The inconsistency makes me want to go to other places that I may not enjoy as much but I know What to expect.

I haven’t tried much of the food but the garlic fries are really tasty.

I would recommend trying boba pub just make sure you speak up if you don’t think...

Nice little place can't judge the tea bc went for an avocado smoothie this time. Boba was little undercooked chewy-er and harder than the soft boba used to. They were packed when I went though so could have been off day. Didn't add any sweetness and I regret it. Normally it's pretty sweet by itself but actually was just about and the boba added an odd saltiness to it. I would try here again just so I could judge it better. Someone accidently ordered the wrong tea too. Though they ordered almond flavor but was getting almond milk instead of milk (use real milk, Al, or soy) and they made her a new one for customers misunderstanding which is why 4 not 3 stars. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND READ THIS! I watched the lady cook in the kitchen drop my baguette on the floor pick it up and blow on it and then wipe it with a napkin. Then I continued to watch her put the sandwich together, towards the end she dropped other ingredients like herbs on the floor, and put them INTO my sandwich!!! I denied the sandwich. There were two employees in the store at the time, the other at the register stressed out- trying to speak to the lady making food and then simply ignoring her responses.
