Empanada Bliss Milohas is a bakery GEM 💎 Located in an unassuming strip mall by Pet Mart, Milohas is a complete bakery serving sweet and savory pasties as well as hot and cold drinks I’d been wanting to visit forever and found myself with some time one morning to swing by The empanadas are the most popular item although the sweet baked good and multiple cheese breads looked delicious as well I decided to heat one to eat there and bought several home to share. After finishing the generous sized ham and cheese empanada, I instinctively went to the box to have another (they’re that great). I realized it was cold and restrained myself The empanadas are soft, flaky and filled with generous tasty flavorings. It’s reset all my expectations of what an empanadas can be after a very disappointing experience at the oft-cited Argentinian empanadas in SF’s Ferry Building - SF has nothing on SJ and Milohas! đŸ“· Empanadas $6.75 ~ Meat, Small or Vegetarian, Small ~ Ham & Cheese, Cheese, Chicken, Beef / Cheese Breads $5.75 / Guava Finger $2.50 📍Milohas (San Jose, CA) Limited outdoor seating is available although mainly take out. Credit cards accepted.

They do have some outside seating, but you are not coming for the atmosphere. This is my first time here and for first timers: It is a little overwhelming. You just look at the menu on the wall or you can read the options below through the glass. They have small and large ones. It’s a very small area just order someone helps you and they close you out. I didn’t realize until after I ordered and saw someone else order. They have some fresh juices which are super good. The passionfruit was really good and very sweet. My egg empanada was a five out of five. My chicken and potato empanada was a 3.5 out of five. I would add cheese inside. It does come with two sauces. I think when you order two you should get three or four sauces because they are pretty small my empanadas were really good. I enjoyed the flavor of the egg one the best because it was really seasoned well and both empanadas had a really good crust and taste. I will come back again and try other flavors along with other juices. Just make sure you step back until you are ready to order because they are moving pretty fast and it is a small area between ordering and pick up.

It has been such a treat to have this business in our neighborhood for the last five years. We've been slowly working our way through the empanadas, and they've all been outstanding. Our most recent sample was the mushroom and quinoa; in lesser hands, this could have been dry and bland, but instead, it was moist and rich and full of flavor. Of course, the pastry itself is always delicious, and served as a perfect, crispy complement to the filling. And, if you try only one item there, it HAS to be the guava fingers. The filling has that distinct guava taste and texture, and it's offset by a hint of saltiness in the pastry itself. Whether warmed on site or at home -- and you MUST eat them warm -- they're such a treat. We're so lucky to have Milohas in our community; they're a small, locally owned business that makes exceptional baked goods, and they truly deserves the community's support.

I have been here three times so far in the last 3 weeks :-) I think I'm officially addicted and I've even brought some Empanadas To friends to spread the love. I'm so glad I found this place. I don't know that much about empanadas or Colombian food, but I love what they make! I have tried a variety of their empanadas and every one of them has been delicious. My personal favorites are the chicken and mushroom and quinoa. I'm excited to eventually try things like their desserts, and the bunuelos. I have had a couple different types of their juice and it's always fresh and they let you mix the flavors. The times I've come they've been busy, which in my mind is a good thing! People wouldn't come if they weren't good! :-) Despite being busy, they are efficient about helping people and I've never waited long. Each time I've come, a staff member has taken personal responsibility for my order. They are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. I love how they write the baking instructions on the box without me even asking! :-) Thanks for the...
