My experiences with pizza places in the area haven't been the best. Even the national chain pizza places just haven't been up to par. Saw several reviews and thought I would give this place a try. The restaurant is kind of hidden in a strip mall and can be easily missed but inside is clean and spacious. Staff greet you quickly when you walk in. I ordered the 8th street pizza minus the mushrooms, I placed a takeout order on line. My order took about 40 minutes to be ready, seemed like a long time for a restaurant that wasn't busy when I walked in to pick up my order. The cost was a bit pricey even with the discount, about $20 for a medium pizza. The crust was crunchy yet soft and the sauce had a little kick (spicy) to it but it was good. Plenty of toppings and reheated well in the microwave without being soggy. I enjoyed the pizza and will give them another try the next time I want pizza.

This place is in my neighborhood. It is not more than four blocks from my house. They serve decent slices at decent prices. It's not really New York Pizza, it's more sort of a California interpretation New York Pizza, so what this means is that the sausage is if higher quality and the red/purple/Spanish onions are super fresh. Slices are large, too. The atmosphere is very minimalistic, which is awesome. Limited drink selection. But awesome nonetheless.

Overall solid pizza place, would go again. We got a custom large pizza for two people ($31). Pros: lots of cheese, good amount of sauce, & lots of toppings. Staff was friendly, place was clean, and art on the walls is hilarious. They also have a clean bathroom for customers. Cons: Was cut unevenly but that is an easy fix. I like a bit thicker crust but that's more of a preference.

Nuggets looked nothing like they did in the picture. In reality they looked exactly like McDonalds nuggets. They tasted slightly less mushy than McDonald's but even had the same strange almost bitter aftertaste. Salad was very unappetizing. Lettuce was not fresh, i could count the number of carrot shavings "5-10" on my salad, then they just threw on another 5 slices of cucumer some cheese and olives and some nasty cold chicken and called it a salad. The dressing was just as Sad. Looked like hydrogenated oil mixed with vinegar. No thanks gelatinous yellow goo named " italian dressing". This was worse than McDonalds, which i hold as my lowest bar for restaurant experiences. This place is my new lowest bar. Please dont ever waste your hard earned $ here....

This was the first time I ordered from King Kong New York pizza. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I love Greek salads! I do believe that the Greek salad from King Kong, is the best I've ever had. Lots and lots of feta cheese, I love feta, so the more there is the better it is!. The salad also had cucumbers tomatoes onion and calamitra olives. Oh, and lettuce of course. LOL the pizza was also wonderful. I built my own, with pepperoni, sausage, kalamatar olives and mushroom. Mmm Good! I didn't see an option for regular or thin crust, so in the comments I said if available, I would love thin crust. It was really thin. Just perfect! I will...
