Evergreen Inn & Pub — Restaurant in San Jose

I love this place! Absolutely love it! I am always partial to a place where you can get waffles for dinner or bkfst, whatever time of the day you like. Unfortunately, they are no longer open for dinner. They close at 3 p.m. everyday. They used to be open for dinner, however, when business got slow they cut their hrs bk & have no plans to change them back, evidently. 😢 So a word to everyone who has a favorite place to eat....think about "upping" your visits when times get tough. It's not just tough on "us", but everyone, and could mean the difference between your favorite restaurant cutting their hrs back, or worse yet, closing down all together.

The menu is HUUUGE! There is something on it for everyone. As my husband recently noted though, he doesn't think they're serving Menudo anymore, which is fine by me since I don't eat the stuff, but for those people who do, I guess it sucks. Anyhow, they have tons of omelettes, pancake & French toast combo's & fancy waffle items. 2 of their biggest breakfast's are the Ranch bkfst & the Emily's. They come w 3 eggs, 3 sausage &...yes, AND 3 bacons, plus hash browns & toast, which I substitute for Fr. toast. The Emily's also comes w a 1/2 piece of ham, I believe. $16 or so ea. They also have a huge lunch menu to choose from. One of my favorites is the Rib-eye steak sandwich. They also have lots of burgers, sandwiches & other stuff, not to mention, salads as well. There might be a wait around the popular bkfst hours, but they're pretty efficient & quick at seating & serving everyone. They also hace a full bar/lounge where u can watch sports & eat as well. The lounge stays open late, 1:00 or 2:00 am if I'm not mistaken. Anyhow, to my own detriment, I highly recommend this place if you're hungry & want a good, filling meal...

Had breakfast here on Friday June 4, 2021 and for being a late morning, the restaurant was busy. The staff quickly sat my party down and had water and coffee on the table almost instantly. The menu selection has a lot to choose from. I settled with the eggs and country sausage. The serving staff was friendly and prompt in taking the order and putting it through the kitchen. I made some substitutions to my order and the waitress was helpful and had no issues with the changes. The busboy made numerous checks and topped off the coffee mugs and water glasses each time. The food was prepared very quick and it was delicious. Everyone at the table said the breakfast hit the spot!!! This restaurant serves a lot of food especially when ordering an omelette plate and a few of the people in my party took their meals home. The price was reasonable. I left a good tip to match the excellent service. I will be definitely eating breakfast...

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Evergreen Inn & Pub! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. I ordered the burger, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time—perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. The drink selection was impressive as well, with a wide variety of craft beers and signature cocktails. What really made the night special was the live music, which added a great vibe to the already lively atmosphere. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy good food, drinks, and entertainment.
