Five Guys — Restaurant in San Jose

This is the newest 5 Guys around. The inside is very nice and the employees keep it clean. The employee taking my order was friendly. Not sure if this is now true for all the 5 Guys but... they have green peppers now and you can get them grilled or fresh. I ordered the regular 2 patties with bacon and cheese and added grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, BBQ sauce, grilled mushrooms and grilled peppers. This thing was so darn big I could that I had to get a fork and knife “no joke” and as usual I get a small fry... I think it’s a running joke with all the 5 guys, they will toss in a super small cup with like 2 French fries in it and them unload a whole basket of fries in da bag!!! “Again, no joke” “love 5 guys!!!x10” Only- was the service was a little slow but no big deal I’ll wait for food...

I just love this place, I tend to forget about it but when I do remember, and we go, it's absolutely the best. I always order the double bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrap, and seriously I can't say enough good things about it. When you order it without the bond you taste things you don't taste when there's a bread bun on it. From the minute you walk in you know this place is special, there's a good vibe with the decor the welcome from the staff the smells the free peanuts, there's just something special about this place and your sensory perception picks up on it the moment you walk through the front door. I love their method of creating a burger in a lettuce wrap! The foil is the secret weapon. They wrap it perfectly and you can enjoy your burger with all of the toppings You normally would have well skipping the unnecessary carbohydrates! Save those carbs for the French fries, lol! They're seasoned fries are to die for. If you're really feeling decadent, their shakes can't be beat. The cherry one is my personal favorite! Lots of big chunks of maraschino cherry mixed in to the shake. I prefer to order with their app and then pick up. Usual wait is about 6 minutes from the time I complete my order to when I can walk in and just pick it up. They do have plenty of tables for dining in and even have boxes of shelled peanuts for you to munch on if you order in the store and...
