I took my spouse out to breakfast at this place that was a total nightmare!! The bus boy came out or drink order but walked away while I was still talking. When our server came I was grateful that he seemed nicer but was not! He appeared to be nice but I think it was still Halloween because he still had his mask on. The food that we ordered did not come with all the condiments (butter, hot sauce, etc.) or toast, so we had to wait at least 10 minutes without eating the food and let it get colder. We ask one of the bus boys if we had come at a busy time this is because our server never seem to come by. The bus boy told us that we were lucky that we caught them at a slow time. When we were done eating one of the bus boys cleared our table and we sat and waited another 20 minutes for our server to come by and give us the check. We noticed while we were waiting for the our server to come by he was going to everyone else’s table and checking on them and taking orders and giving other people their check. Win I gave them my credit card to pay the bill our server then started going back to other peoples table taking other peoples orders again and giving other people their checks instead of cash in us out. We waited another 10 or 15 minutes and then went to the front and ask them to get our credit card so we can cash out and leave. One of the hostesses at the front went over to our server, Who had now cleaned a table and was carrying dishes to the back, she took the dishes from him so he could finally cash us out. Overall this was a horrible experience and we will not...
Read moreThis was our first time dining here. It's covid time and there is outdoor seating. They had a nice setup. Huge fans for cooler air and space between tables. My Mom and Aunt both got a Prawn Pomodoro dish. They enjoyed it... but my mom got burnt garlic bread and my aunt didn't. Their dish came with soup or salad. My aunt got a side salad. My mom got a delicious bowl of posole ( hominy and meat) that soup was so flavorful and tasted authentic. Yum. We all want to go back just for the posole. It was that good. I wonder if it really is only sold as an appetizer on Sundays. It's so good... it should be a main dish. I got a chicken Cobb Salad. Chicken was dry and it did not come with egg, which was disappointing, but salad was still filling, but I feel that salad should be served crisp, fresh and refridgerated. My salad was not. My nephew got a 49er burger. He loved it after they had to cook it again to make it more well done for his liking. Service was OK... on the slower side, we were there for 40 mins before our food was served. After we got served ... it did get quite busy. We got NO refills on our coffee and soda, which was disappointing, but maybe that was a covid thing. Overall, this place served good decent food. It was a bit pricey, as most of the dishes were around 15 to 18 bucks... Just little things could be improved here and there with the food presentation and service. Then, I'd be happy to give them a 5 star rating. Looking forward to going back on a Sunday for that posole again ...and to try more of...
Read moreWe love Jack Holder's. Been coming here since it opened, and this review is late coming. We have been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and ordered Door Dash. We went to Holder's yesterday for breakfast, and once again were not disappointed. We were seated quickly, and it was pretty busy. Good timing, as 10 minutes later there was a wait out the door. My wife ordered the Garden Omelette, and I the Mushroom & Avocado Omelette. It came with Hashbrowns, and I had the side of wheat toast, where my wife chose pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious, and we both only finished half our orders. Which meant a second breakfast this morning. Coffee was hot and in larger mugs. The kids had Chocolate pancakes with scrambled eggs, and a piece of bacon each. The loved it. Nice hot chocolates for them also.
The service has always been very good at Holder's. Servers and Waiters are always friendly, communicative, and efficient. Making sure you are enjoying your meal, and your coffee is filled. Obviously, we...
