We went here for dinner. We'd made a reservation and requested for outside dining. It was dusk but the outside dining area had adequate lighting and also heating system since it was a bit chilly. Our order consisted of: Wild red sea urchin: This was first time we had sea urchin. It tasted cool and fresh. The presentation was great. Oyster sampler half dozen: The most informative entree of the evening on our table. They had a piece of paper which described what each oyster was since it was a sampler. The oysters were fresh and instantly transported us to the ocean with every swig we took. Delicious. King's crab cake: The crab cake tasted good however the dip served with it was way too salty and pungent. Miso yaki wild chilean sea bass: The fish was cooked well; charred properly. The sauce was a little too watery though but had decent flavors. Parmesan crusted petrale sole with mashed potatoes: The fish itself was good the mashed potatoes and asparagus were ok. Clams Linguine: This lacked a little flavor off the bat. We had to mix it really well with the sauces in the plate to make it flavorful. The clams were fresh. Desserts Hooked on butter cake: This was delicious. The cake was soft with a gooey buttery center and was well complimented by the vanilla ice cream. Creme brulee: Vey well made. The crust was thicker than other places we've had this dessert. Delectable!
There's no one entree that was the star of the show. However if you order variety you'll definitely have a good time.
Ambience: Very lively. It's part of a mall. Both indoor and outdoor dining spaces are well lit and clean. Seating is comfortable. Quantity: Ok Parking: Plenty of mall parking. If you manage to get in and out within a couple of hours parking is...

Went to King's on Sunday with my mother who recently received her 24th chemotherapy for her 3rd stage breast cancer (Sorry friends if you had to find out here...). She is losing weight extremely fast, currently at 94 lbs and I wanted to find my mother appetite again. She loves miso sea bass, so I searched online and came here.
I am not sure if it was typical techie sweater and casual pants we were seated far end table outside away from everyone after 3.5 hour wait. Literally the end table outside, only people seating next to us were people waiting for tables.
During our meal, I was wondering if it was the dress code or just being a walk in? Few things came to my mind were
The asian male host did not like us Hosts were trained to usher well dressed patrons inside for restaurant image (but it's during lunch?) Then the Most common, servers selecting their own customers for higher tip by profiling (This occurs a lot when the servers are receiving table tip meaning each server keeps their own tip then give % to bus boy/kitchen crew and the host/hostess. Yup, server pick their own customer)
If this experience was with my friends/co-workers then wouldn't waste my time posting, but having my 78 year old elderly mother being treated so poorly could not be forgiven and should be pointed out.
Let's not pretend to be an upscale when the restaurant is located inside the mall.. Food price doesn't make upscale restaurant, its food quality and service...
That being said, will not be returning for...

This was our first visit, and the experience started smoothly with seamless reservations. We were seated promptly upon arrival, and our request for a quiet corner table was perfectly accommodated. While the booths looked inviting, the table seating proved more comfortable with supportive armchairs, enhancing our overall comfort.
Our party of four opted for the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner, spending three enjoyable hours immersed in the warm ambience. The menu was extensive, though priced higher than Scott’s Seafood in Oakland. However, the quality reflected the cost, with dishes seasoned and prepared to a higher standard. Our server was attentive, frequently checking in to ensure our needs were met.
The only drawback was the timing of food and drink service. Beverages arrived sporadically—one beer was served promptly, while another took several minutes, arriving with the foam noticeably diminished, indicating it had been sitting too long. Despite this, the hors d'oeuvres—buffalo wings and shrimp taquitos—arrived swiftly and were well-executed. Soups and salads followed closely, leaving little time to savor each course.
Portion sizes were generous, and the desserts, especially the chocolate cake and pie, were standout highlights. Overall, it was a delightful Thanksgiving experience and a refreshing change from our usual home-cooked celebration. While home-cooked meals hold a special place, the ease of having professionals handle the cooking, serving, and cleanup is...
