L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in San Jose

My husband and I love Hawaiian BBQ food. We always stop at the L&L Hawaiian BBQ in each city we drive through. We just ate at the silver Creek plaza, L&L Hawaiian BBQ. 1805 East Capitol expressway, San Jose California 95121. The beef actually taste horrible at this location. I was really disappointed, because that's my favorite item on the menu. It was dry, salty and had a horrible flavor. At all the other locations It was delicious and amazing. I don't think they're following the original recipe. The shrimp was overcooked which made it over crispy and hard. The chicken was good and tasty. First of all I called 4 times to place am order, didn't answer I show up place is empty the 2 guys who are working were in the back on their phones. I order my food I always orde bbq mix. Last time I order from there cause my job site is close and it was not the greatest of all. I love l&l but today it completely ruin my appetite, meet super dry hardly any veggies(cabbage) hardly any meat, this meal is $18 dollars almost. During this crazy pandemic I still felt uncertain in ordering takeout. We've been at home making food for a couple months now. I was craving Hawaiian BBQ and automatically thought of L&L's Hawaiian BBQ. I ordered Chicken Katsu, BBQ Chicken, and the mix plate with 6 musubi's. When I got there they actually came out to me. The guy had my food on a tray. He also had gloves and a mask on. Comforting to know they are taking extra precautions in making people feel safe. When I got home, you could tell the food was fresh.
