The waitresses here are so RUDE and have zero EQ emotional intelligence!!! They think they’re Gods or what?! Worst attitude and WORST service!
I went there a little bit late, 35mins before they close. So I asked the receptionist if I could still dine there, if they close by 10pm on point, I could do take away. The receptionist told me I could still dine in there, and they usually wouldn’t close until 10:30pm. So that’s why I sat down.
I walked in the restaurant by myself on Mother’s Day. The younger waitress said to me ‘Happy Mother’s Day!’ Then she asked, ‘Are you a single mom?’ After I heard this, I was in shock and felt like ‘WHAT?! First of all, this is a personal question she shouldn’t have asked. Secondly, what makes her think every woman needs to be a mother?! And why a woman comes into your restaurant alone on Mother’s Day, then you think she’s a single mom?!! What is the logic??!!’
The worse part was, I sat down, decided and ordered the food within 5mins and then sat there waiting for my food. Then the older waitress came to give me plates and utensils, I kindly asked her, ‘Excuse me, what’s the WiFi password here?’ Do you know what she said to me?! She said, ‘We’re closing soon. You need to eat fast. You have no time to use WiFi!’ I was completely in SHOCK after hearing this!!! This is how you treat customers?!!! This is NOT acceptable! I just simply asked for WiFi while waiting for the food!!!
So I told them, ‘I have no mood to eat here anymore. Put all my food in takeaway boxes. Otherwise that older waitress probably would come to my table to tell me eat fast every 30s!’ Their attitudes are so UNACCEPTABLE!!!
The worst part is, I took the food back to my home to eat. And I FOUND HAIR in my soup!!! WILL NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN! And they deserve this 1...
Read moreFirst of all, this newly discovered Thai restaurant interior is so beautiful yet modern. Whoever was the interior designer did an excellent job in bringing contemporary decor yet still retain the very Thai identity.
We were a party of 2 and came for lunch on a weekday so we only ordered a total of 3 dishes. 1 lunch specials (came with 1 goya) and 2 entrees.
We were thrilled to find out som tom poo (green papaya salad) is on the menu (aka fermented salted crabs). It can be very pungent to some but those that do acquired the taste, you'll be equally thrilled to have found it at this restaurant. This is pretty authentic and as good as you find at any street peddler in Thailand. My lunch date could only handle mild so I ordered the mild version to share. I will come back another time to order Thai spicy. I can handle the heat like a true Thai.
The drunken noodles is also very tasty and the seasonings is well meshed into all the ingredients and I believed the noodles are fresh, not dry packaged as you can taste the chewiness texture and the noodles doesn't crumble into small pieces.
However, I was surprisingly disappointed with the red curry that we ordered. I felt it was too runny and a little washed down. It came with white chicken strips that was too dry, even in a curry and was tasteless in my opinion. It was our first trip here so I'm not sure that's how they made the curry here or we were given yellow curry because it came with pineapple.
Overall, beautifully decorated restaurant yet authentic flavors and decent pricing. We didn't try any cocktails during our lunch but it seems others reviews mentioned good cocktails made here. I would come back to check out others items on the menu but would come back for the som...
Read moreLaksana Thai is a pleasant surprise! I went here for lunch with my supervisor and a coworker since it’s close to work. And it didn’t disappoint!
Laksana Thai is located next to Curry Me Up and across from Starbucks. There are parking spaces right in front and plenty of free street parkings.
We love that there is a nice outdoor seating area which looks upscale. However, we agreed as a group to sit inside instead.
Wow, the inside surprised us! It looked super fancy with elegant and gigantic gold chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The inside was even more upscale than the outside!
We were quickly seated, presented the menus and offered water. Our orders were promptly taken as well. We decided on Pad See Ew, Massaman Curry and Larb with chicken to share.
Our food took a while to come out due to back orders from a large group before us. The staff was polite, kept informing us about the status and apologized for the delay which I appreciated.
The food was okay with nice portion size. I especially enjoyed the refreshing taste of the Larb with chicken.
A lovely experience in general. I’ll make sure to come back here to try their...
