The Worst McDonald’s in San Jose – Systematically Awful.
If I could give 0 stars for service I would! This McDonald’s at 1365 Blossom Hill Road is hands-down the worst in the area, and it’s been like this for a long time. The problems here aren’t just occasional—they’re systematic. The managers clearly don’t care, and it shows in every aspect of the operation. The workers seem poorly trained and, honestly, it feels like they’re taught not to care about customer service at all.
Consistent Issues: Every visit brings new frustrations. Orders are almost always wrong—missing items, incorrect customizations, and just sloppy mistakes. The drive-thru is a nightmare: they constantly make you pull into a parking spot to wait, and whether it’s busy or not, they never dedicate staff to bring out food efficiently. This slows everything down and turns a quick stop into a long ordeal. When you try to report issues in person you’re met with indifference.
My Most Recent Visit (Exceptionally Bad): On my latest visit, I ordered online ahead of time for drive-thru pickup, hoping it would make things smoother. Instead, I was told to pull into a parking spot after checking in at the drive-thru window. I waited several minutes, watching cars behind me get their food and leave before me. When my order finally came out, my Filet-O-Fish was missing. While I was waiting for that to be fixed, I checked the rest of my order and found the plain cheeseburger was missing the cheese entirely. When the staff member returned with my Filet-O-Fish, I mentioned the missing cheese on my cheeseburger, and he got visibly frustrated. The next time he brought out the burger, it still wasn’t plain—it had pickles and onions. When I tried to point this out, he ignored me and just walked back inside as fast as he could.
I had to go inside, where I was ignored for several minutes even though the lobby wasn’t busy. When I finally got the manager’s attention and explained everything, he just said “okay”—no apology, no concern, no attempt to make it right. Eventually, I got my plain cheeseburger.
Bottom Line: This location is a mess from the top down. The management doesn’t care, the staff isn’t trained, and the customer service is non-existent. Unless there are major changes, do yourself a favor and go to literally any other McDonald’s or fast food...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointed with this location (I would give zero starts if I could) I will never come here again. I fully understand that COVID-19 has changed operating procedures but the employee I dealt with today was extremely rude and unprofessional. I chose to do a curbside order and parked in one of the four designated spots for those orders. During the whole waiting time, I was the only car parked there. We waited about ten minutes which is the standard wait, then the employee came out with my food, I could tell it was mine because of the two Happy Meals and because there was no one else waiting in one of the spots, so it was a safe assumption. The employee looked around for less then five seconds, didn’t even attempt to walk to my car and then went back inside with my food. I had my toddler with me which is the whole reason I did a curbside pickup so we wouldn’t have to get out, so we got out of the car, walked up to the door that was completely barricaded with what looked like a poorly constructed homemade door, and the same employee that had walked back in with my food tried to shoo me away from the door. I told her I saw her come out of the restaurant with my food and walk back in seconds later and she claimed there was no one in the spot so she returned the food to the kitchen. This is absolutely untrue because you can not confirm the order to be made UNTIL you are parked in a designated spot and tell the establishment the number you’re in, so I was definitely in the spot the entire time, the employee just didn’t even bother to approach me. Like I said, I was the only one in the curbside pickup spots, so there was no confusion on who the order would be for. If the employee hadn’t been so rude to me I wouldn’t be as upset but she behaved extremely unprofessionally and I won’t be returning to that location ever again. Food was also...
Read moreAccording to the McDonald's website the drive thru is supposed to be open at 4 am. We drove out of our way to order from this location because of its hours. My family and i arrived at 420 am and it was closed! Then when we exited the drive thru some one was parking.

I received an apology from McDonald's USA and I appreciate the effort for acknowledging the problem. However, it will not give my family and I back the extra time and gas that we spent driving to that location which was not open during the posted time. Which is why we did not drive to 2 other locations which are very near to our neighborhood.
After several emails to McDonald's, I finally received the email below from the owner, Thy Nguyen.
" I'd like to follow up with you to let you know that we appreciate customer feedback and use it to improve our operations. I hope that you have had a chance to visit us again, and that your experience was a pleasant one. We know that you have many dining options, and for that reason, we do not take your patronage for granted. We value your business and want to continue to receive your feedback -- good or bad. Please feel free to contact me at the number listed on this letter if you have feedback in the future. Again, thank you for your business. I hope you will use the enclosed "Be Our Guest" card the next time you visit us. We look forward to serving you for many years to come."
Surprisingly I never received the Be Our Guest card so I tried to call her @ the phone number she gave me but when I called the number it was a fax. Of course, she used a email which I can't send a reply unless I go through...
