I often come here having 2 busy kiddo schedules. We tend to be drive thru participants. Typically our order is not correct and our we get short changed an item condiment utensil something. The line is typically horrible and I still don't fully understand the doubled ordering lanes as it does not seem to alleviate any congestion and actually becomes longer with the orders becoming mixed up. I think there is much confussion when it comes to this especially at this location. However our most recent visit we ended one scheduled activity early and had time to kill before picking up the sibling. We decided to go in and was greeted with what was our 1st visit with the order kiosk station. People seemed to move fairly quickly through the ordering process. Upgraded tech nice new easy user friendly touchchscreen. I attempted to utilize but was not successful due to special ordering type items which was not an issue just did the traditional ordering. The beverage center and front counter part was visibly unkept and half of the selections we're not usable. I do want to make note our visit did take place in the later hours of the evening around 8-9 pm so factor in a whole day of a always busy site location this type of scene would be the norm. The dinning area was pleasantly much better than the store front. different modern seating styles very well kept and spread out seating unlike those of a stack side by side arrangement. I was even more surprised and satisfied with how clean the dinning area was and the wonderfully kind and friendly staff who did it's upkeep. It had become obvious that the staff had some type of unseen disability but took pride in the job and was very courteous in asking how I was doing and if I needed anything. That right there is one if the major reasons why I gave such high stars. GOOD STUFF MCD'S FOR YOUR HIRING AND PLACEMENT FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES WAY TO KEEP THEM INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY WOOT WOOT!! The play area is another high factor ranking for me. I know most play areas got pulled understandable asb5hey arebtyoicslky unkeot and a breeding ground for germs and bacteria..GROSS! (slight germaphobe) I believe this location and the one in Milpitas are the only 2 left in the surrounding areas. I again was pleasantly surprised by the lay out and overall cleanliness if the play area. The entire area is surrounded by glass. I was able to keep an eye on my kiddo as we sat right next to the glass. The modern spread out seating has become clear to it's function. noticing a mom with 5 kids could sit in the centered large couch style booth table while doing homework and still able to keep a watchful eye on her kiddos. I was able to knock in the glass gain line of sight and gesture to my kiddo it was time to leave without several a attempts to "fish em" out. Overall my experience with the food by means of drive thru are like any fast food joint mediocre. But my experience dinning in was surprisingly fantastic. I think our fambam will be taking more trips inside even if not dining in. The wait may be somewhat longer in comparison to drive thru but worth the wait if my kiddos can get some good ol playground interaction while we wait in a warm welcoming...
Read moreMcDonalds is now overpriced, even with their app. The discounts on their app have almost disappeared, especially compared to the Burger King app. Their app also has technical issues all the time. I tired to use it today and ordered my food quick as I pulled into the pickup spots. Suddenly the app cycled through the pickup choices and came up with the message "we are having difficulty, go inside to the counter and show them this message". I showed the clerk after waiting. She yelled out my order number and told me to wait. I looked at the order board and the my order number was not there and the numbers were all different than what was being called out. I waited for a while. Eventually, an employee asked about my order. I showed him the message. He tried to check on the register with no success. He said wait till he can talk with the original cashier. I waited again and he followed through and eventually said my order did not go through. I went to the self order screen so I would not have to wait in line again to order through the cashier. The screen would not work correctly. It would only let me order individual sandwiches and not combos. I eventually went to another screen. I had the same issue multiple times....certain items would allow combos and others not. Twice as I tried to scroll it added items I did not order to my "bag". After about 5 or 6 tries I got the screen to work correctly and received my food at regular speed. This was one of the worst ever experiences as I was in a hurry and went the McDs because it was...
Read moreI can't give a single star for the atmosphere. I don't like giving negative reviews, but here we go. Absolutely no engagement with customers. You have to use the kiosk. I forgot my debit card, and I wait 8 minutes for them to come to the register to pay. Then, walking through the dining area to the playground with my granddaughter, there's a huge pool of chunky bright pink vomit all over the table and floor on the huge communal table with stools. 🤢(HUGE AMOUNT) When the employee brought our food, She looked at it on the way there and on her way back. It didn't get cleaned up. My granddaughter wanted dessert. A different employee brought our dessert, looked at the vomit, and ignored it. I tried to tell someone about it, but it took 8 minutes to get someone to the register, and we were on the road for several hours, we were starving. I didn't want my food to get cold. I've been to many McDonald's around the country, and this was the worst restaurant I've ever visited! I'm so glad they have tables in the play area. We didn't have to try to eat in the vomit room. Also, the chicken nuggets are smaller than any McDonald's I've visited. The next time we come to San Jose, we're not going to visit this...
