Mimosas Mexican Kitchen — Restaurant in San Jose

Horrible service! There’s really no one here and they’re ran out of ranch (granted the ranch is made in house) so after 15 mins the poor waiter told me that he “doesn’t think that they’re making ranch today” obviously it’s just ranch but I myself ordered fries because I enjoy ranch with them. So I asked for a resolution to them being under prepared such as the fries to be taken off the bill.. The sorry excuse for a server says (as he’s walking away) “yea, probably not” of course me as a consumer hearing that, I’m not happy! I asked to speak to the manager since the server clearly can’t handle the simplest thing such as ranch and accommodating after not being able to provide something so simple as a condiment.. I was told that “The manager is the owner and is on a phone call so he’s unavailable” Magically the ranch mysteriously appears so I ask for a fresh order of fries seeing as mine are clearly cold after 20 mins.. I asked to still speak to the manager once he’s off of his ‘super important phone call’ because clearly his staff is unable to handle the simplest customer service issues without being managed. Definitely never got the ‘honor’ of speaking to the manager. As I’m walking out I hear a waitress tell a table that the manager isn’t here right now. So she lied about him being on the phone.. this was DEFINITELY my last time here! as of...whenever, they no longer do the complimentary mimosa on ur bday. not only is it NOT posted, the waiter failed to notify us of this when i announced it was my husband's bday, AND he showed his i.d.. The waiter looked at it and only said happy bday...AFTER showing the I.D. while ordering the mimosa. At that point, he should've said we no longer honor bdays, etc.. he knew we were here for the free bday mimosa... no one else showed there I.D.s.. So, when the bill came and we noticed we'd been charged for the 30$ mimosa, he simply said "oh we dont do that anymore". why wouldn't you have said that when i announced it was his bday? i asked for a manager, whom he said wasnt there. in my opinion, he was hoping I'd get tired of waiting and just pay for it. NOT! I nicely explained how we would've never driven 45 minutes had we known this. so after waiting for a min, and me telling him if it were an emergency, he could reach the manager that " had been gone for over an hour, and wasnt answering text or callls". he says the manager was there now and was coming, then next thing I know, he's gonna now take it off hinself, etc, because the manager didn't wanna deal with it . I am giving 4 stars but can change later. We have been to this place 3 times. The 1st 2 times were perfect... food was good... mimosas were good... Everything was perfect and flawless. The last time we went was a horrible horrible experience. Told us 20 minute wait after 40 minutes and being skipped In line by a few other parties... hostess comes out and says 5 minutes they are just cleaning your table. 15 minutes later she call us from outside saying your table ready. Then when we get to the door she says can you wait here for one second(inside). 10 minutes after waiting inside we finally get to our table. Once at the table we wait another 15 minutes before the waiter even takes drink orders or check on us.( I was about 2 mins away from just walking out).... waiter finally comes only takes drink orders then leaves for another 10 minutes. He comes back with drinks then finally we order our food. More time passes. We get our food and some of the orders are wrong and missing some orders missing food that they stated on the menu. Overall the last experience was horrible. But I really like this place so I'll return. Thus the 4 stars. Another experience like the last will make me...
