Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in San Jose

I would like to commend Mountain Mike's Pizza on Santa Teresa Blvd and proprietor Shelly for an incredible service in April/May 2013.

The Villa shelter for women and children recently burned in a fire and the ~ 40 women/children were displaced into two alternate locations without meal service. I am a volunteer for the InnVision Network Shelter group and I prepare and serve meals for the homeless.

I approached Mountain Mike's to see if they were willing to donate pizzas for the fire victims every Friday night for 5 weeks until the shelter could be renovated and Shelly heartily agreed. Every Friday night without fail, Shelly and her staff prepared tons of large delicious pizzas which I took to the homeless ladies and children at two locations. The pizzas were great; prepared on time and fresh. But was was even more incredible was the heart with which Shelly and the folks at Mountain Mike's responded to this great opportunity to help others in need. My hats off to Mountains Mike's Pizza on Santa Teresa Blvd, San Jose.

(Note that Lee's House Chinese Take-out right next door provided Chinese food on Saturdays for the same set of folks. I think next time you're looking for great eats, it would be nice to patronize the two restaurants next door to each other who have chosen to give of themselves to support the community. It's not just about the stomach - it's about the heart,...

While door dashing , I picked up from here and it was super empty only 1 guy working but (again restaurant was empty) and the pizza I needed to pick up& deliver was not even started ... I ended up waiting for about 20- 30 mins for 1 medium sized half pep. And half Hawaiian pizza. .... 😐..... Oh and the bathroom .... Disgusting... toilets didn't flush .... and the sink looked like it had poop water in it ... ... And no hand soap.... But had paper towels and tp to make up for the health and safety violation. ..ONE POSITIVE ,tho..they gave me a free drink while I waited when I offered to pay for it ... BUT, ...THEY HAD NO ICE....... I've never seen a restaurant so disgusting and so under...

Great service! Never been to this location. The people who run it were extremely nice. Used a groupon I purchased for a large specialty pizza and a 1 topping pizza , wings , garlic bread and 2 liter. Had no problem using it and was still helped with a smile. Whenever someone uses a groupon or Yelp deal, we tend to get a attitude or oh-man type face, but not here. She was very pleasant and helpful. Will definatly be returning and its extremely clean location with lots of space and beers on tap, large T.V's playing all the Bay Area...
