If you name a dish as being for spicy lovers, only for it to hardly be spicy at all, you are bound to disappoint me.
I ordered a spicy lover noodle soup from OX9 recently, and as a spicy lover, it was hardly spicy at all. With a title like that, I had anticipated the spice to be on the same level as something like Buldak ramen, and while maybe that is a fault of my own tastes and high expectations, even an average person would have a hard time detecting the spice.
As other reviews have stated, the soup is oily and the price does not match the value. In addition, the soup is simply not flavorful. I could not finish my bowl because it didn’t fulfill me; I had to pass it to my friend to eat the rest for me. The noodles were the only fine part about this meal. The staff didn’t want to give me four .5 (half ounce) chili oil small cans (not even when I clarified I could pay for them). She just tossed two miniature half empty (not even half ounce!!!!!) and gave me an ugly face and snarky comment saying she could only give me two. This food is very, very, very bland food. I had to drive to a nearby store to buy chili oil due to awful customer service. We specifically ordered a #1 today and he gave us another one which we can’t eat (since it’s too spicy). When I went back to ask him, he not only refused to address and rectify this by denying it, but falsely claimed to have verified the order with us (which he didn’t) in order to shake responsibility.
