I would think that because business may have been slow that day may have been the reason for the old leftover look and taste of the food. (they definitely don’t look like the type to throw away any old food ) No one was there, and they still were slow and inattentive . Unfortunately, being a person of color I believe that to some businesses we may not appear to drive positive ,high tip , traffic in their direction. Of course that could be a perception on my part as well. I think we tend overcompensate in tips, but it goes unnoticed. I am a believer that tips have gotten out of hand anyway. For your waitress he’ll yeah help them out . 15% Gratuity that is automatically calculated on some receipts “for your convenience “- Why ? Especially on takeout !Enough is enough.(To be honest and upfront I can’t remember if they did the 15% here ).
