Nestled in the heart of the city, Reyhan Restaurant offers a delightful escape into Persian cuisine, where every dish tells a story of tradition and flavor. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in their renowned Soltani and Jengeh Kabob, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
The Soltani Kabob, a combination of juicy koobideh and tender barg, is a true testament to the mastery of Persian grilling techniques. Each bite was a harmonious blend of succulent meat and aromatic spices, leaving my taste buds dancing with delight. The koobideh, with its perfect balance of herbs and seasoning, melted in my mouth, while the barg, cooked to perfection, boasted a smoky richness that was simply divine.
As for the Jengeh Kabob, it was a revelation in itself. The tender chunks of marinated lamb were grilled to perfection, resulting in a dish that was both tender and flavorful. The subtle hints of saffron and garlic elevated the taste to new heights, making it a true culinary masterpiece.
What truly sets Reyhan Restaurant apart is not just the exceptional quality of their food, but also the warm and inviting atmosphere they provide. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with genuine hospitality, making you feel like a cherished guest in someone's home.
In conclusion, Reyhan Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Persian dining experience. Whether you're craving the classic flavors of Soltani Kabob or eager to explore the depths of Jengeh Kabob, this culinary gem will not disappoint. Prepare to embark on a journey of taste and tradition that will leave you...
Read moreThere are lots of ways to rate this category of restaurant especially in San Jose!
Being from the Middle East you tend to gravitate towards kebabs no matter where you are. Luckily in San Jose, we have a few famous kebab places that are significantly better than others.
I put Reyhan Restaurant at the top of all of them. At one point Negeen Restaurant was top choice and Chelokababi in Sunnyvale could not be beat. But these days, I'm putting my money on Reyhan.
A hole in the wall that you miss if you drive more than 30 miles an hour, this quaint restaurant is affordably priced and is consistently good in any of their foods.
Other restaurants we use baking soda to fluff up their kebabs nothing like that here! Pure meat done right and affordably priced. In fact I want to say it's even cheaper for you to get your kebabs here then to buy them yourself and make them home.
But don't focus on the kids I was only you'll miss out on all the stews and specialties on Saturdays and Sunday mornings, kaleh pacheh!

Read moreWe used to like this restaurant and their koobideh kabobs a lot. Today we went for dine in and guess what!! We found a hair in the bread basket... when I took it to the waiter he pretended that he couldn't see it.. nice try!! He finally saw the hair and said he will bring some new ones. He DID NOT APOLOGIZE!! then he served the food and there was a tiny curly blavk hair in the rice... I called the waiter and this time not only he didnt apologize but he didnt even seem to be surprised!! So that covers the service and the clranliness. As for the quality of food, IT HAS DROPPED! I have no idea why koobideh should be spicy? When has anyone eaten a hot and chilli koobideh??? I gave 1 star only because there is no way to give 0 star rating. We will never go back to Reyhan ever again. We paid over $61 for 2 koobideh and a skewer of chicken and a mast o moosir none of us ate the whole plate. Reyhan used to be good but please make sure you read all reviews before you go...
