Starbucks — Restaurant in San Jose

Not too impressed with this location. In fact, dysfunctional is a better way to describe this branch. On several occasions, I waited in the drive-through for many minutes, only to find out they ran out of the ingredients to make my favorite drinks. When they asked me if I wanted anything else, I said no. They didn't offer to prorate another drink for my troubles. I had to complain to Starbucks on several occasions because of this. When they do put signs up, it's deep into the drivethrough line, not at the start. That upset me as I had to wait in line for 15 minutes only to find out they ran out of the pumpkin cream to make pumpkin spice cold cream brews. I left without ordering anything that day and lost 15 minutes. Then, I had to spend another 15 minutes with corporate, airing my grievances. I suggested they talk to the branch manager here to improve things but I have yet to see those improvements, as is evident by the number of times I would discover only after speaking with then I'm the drivethrough that they had ran out of ingredients for...

I would like to update my review below. They have significantly improved and they are much more consistent and accurate with their orders. The staff is also always so friendly. The lineup is still sometimes long and there is construction close by so it’s a little cramped but all in all, I’ve enjoyed it.

Their weekday morning drive thru staff are great and they really listen and know what they are doing. However, every time I go in the evening or on the weekend, my order is messed up and it tastes off. This is the 5th weekend that they have messed up my order and I am beyond fed up. I only realized they had my order wrong when I got home. It’s so frustrating! I wish the weekend and the evening baristas are as well trained as the weekday morning ones! This is my go to Starbucks. Usually I’d give this store 5 stars, but today I asked for my skinny Carmel macchiato that I order every time and they forgot to put down nonfat milk. When I went back through the line the girl tried to tell me even though it doesn’t say nonfat it’s made with nonfat, which I know for a fact is untrue. You can see the difference in color. Told her I was on a diet so it makes a big difference for me. So she got the ok to remake it and when I picked it up I said thank you and she wouldn't even look at me like I was being completely ridiculously. Never been treated so rudely at this location.
